Me too! My friend told that her mom had to really fight in her community for her not be married by 25. I was like none of my friends in India were married at 25. We all had careers, had exposure.

Exactly!!! In the name of remembering and staying true to the roots, they have adopted all the regressive and cringe parts of Indian culture instead of the good ones. Sometimes when you see them you literally wish that these fuckers should have remained in India.
