The vast majority of teens who fall victim to those scams are minors, sometimes not even teens. The scammer knows they are underage and they don't care. Most of them are based in Nigeria or Philippines where they know nothing is going to happen to them. 99% of the time nobody will get in trouble unless it becomes huge news. You'd be surprised by just how many thousands of teenage boys have fallen victim to this, and I bet less than a dozen people have ever been prosecuted. Please educate your children to NEVER send anything online. Tell them the odds of it being real are so low and the consequences are huge.

A very redditor thing to do

I remember the self filling water bottle and doing some research into it because I knew you couldn’t drink water straight from the air because it would be distilled water and distilled water with out minerals is really bad for you. I saw they thought of that with the mineralization step and thought, ok, they solved for that and then went on with my life to wait and see if that water bottle ever actually made it to market. I forgot about it so this update was nice.

Distilled water won't hurt you if you drink it, it just isn't really recommended long term. Also it tastes bad

Distilled water is ok, you'll just have a deficit of minerals if it's the main thing you consume over a long time. It's not poisonous or anything. But you shouldn't use it as your main fluid intake.

When I was a teen like sixteen this guy in his twenties owed me like twenty bucks, don't remember why. When I bugged him for it back because that's a decent amount when you're a teen, (at least baxk then in like 2015/2016) he was luje why are you pressed over twenty that's pocket change... Like okay if it's pocket change why is it a problem for you to give it back then 🤔 especially since mans was like 25. I never got it back 🤷🏻‍♀️ of course. He's still a bum (I'm 23 so this was like 7/8 years ago. )

They may be scams, but I made a bag off buying influencer backed coins. Buying them low, waiting for their fans to shoot the price up, and then selling them off before they pulled the rug. You just gotta be smart about it and it’s honestly one the easiest ways to make money off crypto given their reach and fans.

I’m a victim of the first scam. These people pray on vulnerable and lonely people it’s sickening how people can do this. Heck I was scammed out of £250 this person claimed there mom had cancer and they had to travel to London for care for her mother. They kept asking for gift cards for money. Looking back I should’ve see how suspicious it was. And I didn’t report it because I was embarrassed. I was embarrassed that it happened to me that I was so stupid to fall for it. Luckily I met my well-being coach afterwards she helped me out with my mental health and now I’m on antidepressants which prevents me from getting a job in the military or police so that’s my life

There are many out door pursuits that enable physical demand that can also lend to community care like search and rescue services, while also being a social worker or other such community care. D-
