This video is just plain scary. I mean, Facebook's Metaverse is basically that : being immersed in a virtual 3d space to have interactions. It's a step further than social medias, because well, when you look at them you look at your pc or your phone but around you is still the real world. The future doesn't consist in adding even more virtual into the real world, but in replacing the real world with virtual. The thing is : as Humans we are physical, not virtual. Plus, as intelligent as we are, we aren't perfect, and I'm sure the immersion level we could get in the next few years will easily trick our brains in thinking that the real world is the virtual one. But an individual isn't a brain, it's an entire body that requires basical natural needs, that can't get "elevated" to the vitual world. Imaging enjoying virtually for the 1000th time in a row the most tasteful, perfect, personalized pizza ever, while your real body is decaying, starving, and bathing in your shit.

The fact that everybody think this is gonna happen says something.
