The Internet in 100 Years

The idea that a whole generation of kids might be raised on Twitter is extremely scary...
SOCIALS:
Instagram ➤ / memeifyofficial

Vine ➤ lmao you thought
I have such a love/hate relationship with the internet. On one end, you can access almost all the information the world has to offer within seconds. But on the other end, you have sites like Reddit...and Twitter...and 4chan. And with the recent removal of dislikes on KZread, it's pretty clear that the internet is taking a more "brand-safety" direction.

This is honestly terrifying to think of. Only now it's stressing to say anything IN THE INTERNET where you can't ever get harassed. But in a few years where you need a virtual assistant to dictate your every move is even worse. And the worst thing about this is the fact that it might predict the future at some point. Where society itself turns into twitter

In 1949 when George Orwell was putting pen to paper, written word was a primary source of media. Today short format video has become a very prominent form of media as the printed book has fell in popularity. That, along with this video's expression of a dystopian future given the current trajectory of society, makes this video culturally on-par with 1984.

Its even more depressing how an Internet itself became a living than an essential tool for such as researching or conversation through virtual purpose. The place like 4chan was the reason why it killed the former concept of using an internet and people being as well (im srry but why am I blaming on 4chan anyway, but I mean the people who been took the 4chan too personally for cry sake my goodness), while there's also the place like Reddit and Twitter of course took the similar way but much much alter yet even worse than that. Safety however still doesn't always protect you anyway even "brand-safety" with all the anti edgy contents because it always still evitable no matter what kind of safety they had. Its unfortunate how reality became shattered due to people always seeing anything outside of computer or anything IT as a fantasy, its also disgusting how everyone nowadays always insisted money and attention were considered "Power" rather than it true meaning of those two, its like we clearly went back to medieval time instead of monke. Im not stopping it even with pressure like you want to because it still can't be help it anyway. Just accept the fate but forget those noise, there nothing to be impress on now. Noted: srry for comment three time in the row while I realize my last two was gone because of new ToS changes reason I suppose

This video is just plain scary. I mean, Facebook's Metaverse is basically that : being immersed in a virtual 3d space to have interactions. It's a step further than social medias, because well, when you look at them you look at your pc or your phone but around you is still the real world. The future doesn't consist in adding even more virtual into the real world, but in replacing the real world with virtual. The thing is : as Humans we are physical, not virtual. Plus, as intelligent as we are, we aren't perfect, and I'm sure the immersion level we could get in the next few years will easily trick our brains in thinking that the real world is the virtual one. But an individual isn't a brain, it's an entire body that requires basical natural needs, that can't get "elevated" to the vitual world. Imaging enjoying virtually for the 1000th time in a row the most tasteful, perfect, personalized pizza ever, while your real body is decaying, starving, and bathing in your shit.
