It should be after the shoddiness of this video. The extent of their research was reading some Wikipedia pages. Don't bother to look into history and try to find the actual truth (Spartacus) when reporting on it, Buzzfeed. Now that you're a defunct company, just ride it out.

gladiators were forced to fight, were the lowest level of society, lived in essentially prison etc- that's exactly i always heard regarding gladiators and assumed that was the general concept about them. i never imagined gladiators were glamorised.

From my experience, they used to highly romanticized. But the truth of them have come out a decade or so. This vid was a nice refresher.
