The Inspirations performance of "Jesus Is Mine" from the live album " A Night of Inspiration" in 1976. All I've done is balance the left and right audio channels, and brighten the sound up a bit with some compression.
The encore is a 5-alarm fire of holy spirit. Gives me chills EVERY time I listen. You can tell that this was their jam. They really come out of their shoes performing this one. I think their performance of this song on this night may be the recorded pinnacle of this incredible group.

P.S. - The ad is a full page ad that the Canaan Records label took out in BILLBOARD MAGAZINE in 1976 to front the release of the two live albums "A Night of Inspiration" and "12th Anniversary Live". Pretty cool!

I was 5 years old when this album came out. My grandmother had it on a record and we listened to it everyday . I memorized it word for word ,even how to introduce the group. My favorite song was Jack Laws Thanks for loving me.

I love to Jack Laws sing. His voice is unique.
I was there when this was recorded, and every year until they stopped coming to Warner Robins...Thank God for my Dad who always took us!

This is a great Song. I can feel God when they sing. That means that they live Godly in Christ Jesus and dont walk after the flesh. Anointed of the Holy Ghost

That was something of a joke- nickname Martin Cook used when he introduced Mike. But no, Mike Holcomb did NOT only weigh 94 pounds at 6'4"- he was very tall and thin however. Just like he introduced Archie Watkins as "sister Archie"- not really anybody's sister, right?

Would you be able to tell me what song they are singing on the cover? It looks like Troy is singing bass there rather than Mike?
always wondered since i heard this, who' is old six four ninety four? and how did this bass get that name?

When Mike Holcomb was hired, he was about 20 yrs. old. 6'4" in height and he was so skinny, that Martin said that he couldn't weigh more than 94 lbs. Six four-ninety four! lol!
