It’s nice that true fans and collectors are buying such gems but as a true Elvis fan myself I still believe items like this belong at Graceland. Just my opinion.

Graceland had the opportunity to purchase for their collection in the auction but did not do so. There are so many artifacts Elvis gave away they would go bankrupt trying to obtain them back.

@@TheEPBlvdPawnShopJonDaly I know that's right, trying to buy back everything he gave away would bankrupt them. I never got to try on a jumpsuit but I did sit in the last car that he bought before he died it was part of a Jimmy velvet traveling museum thing in the early 80s that I was security shift Commander for. Was I supposed to be sitting in the car? No but as a huge fan I couldn't resist after everything was shut down I had to sit behind the steering wheel of something not only he bought but actually drove (a huge thrill for me)

I always thought Elvis looked great in any color, but he looks fantastic in blue and white! His white 2 piece suits with light blue shirt was beautiful! It really brought out his eyes and facial features, you just couldn't and still can't stop looking!

Graceland had the opportunity to buy it but chose not to. They would go bankrupt trying to get back all the things Elvis gave away. The jumpsuit is properly preserved.

They, almost all, are true MASTERPIECES 🕺🥇🏆

Elvis wore this jumpsuit when we saw him in Vegas in August 73. I saw this jumpsuit up close when Jimmy Velvet had an exhibit at a shopping mall near me after Elvis died. I was able to hold and examine the dark blue and silver phoenix jumpsuit in the summer of 77 when it was donated by Elvis to the Denver Catholic church that held the funeral for the Denver police officer that Elvis attended. The church auctioned it off that summer. Even though it didn't have a lot of stones on it, it was still really heavy.

Most people have no idea what Elvis' stage suits were like. And yes the mannequins do not help. Up close these suits are magnificent works of art, impressive as all hell. Everything was of the highest quality. The workmanship is incredible. Most people don't know that a good deal of Elvis' suits were not pure white, they just looked like that under the bright lights....they were more of cream color. It's a tough call, but my fav is the Sundial suit. But I love them all and they are badass. Seeing them in person is the game changer and Elvis couldn't have chosen a better style suit to perform in. PEACE!

RECCOMENDED: Thank you for sharing this video with us. There are heavy jumpsuits for sure but I loved them all bc Elvis Presley was and will always be the King of Rock and Roll music for me. I can't believe that they were that heavy.manyly bc I never thought about it seeing Liberace wearing his stage presence; ofcourse he was legendary, but sitting down at a piano.Elvis just proved how much he love people and wanted to sing his songs to entertain people so he could give his mother more.. That is simply amazing to get to see one up close like that. Thank you Jon for doing such a video like this. I don't think anyone has ever done anything like for the Elvis fans. I personally don't know why and maybe it's because it was the last one he wore ,but I really liked the Mexican Aztec Sundial Jumpsuit, myself. I didn't like it at first for many years but it kinda grew on me. I don't think Elvis originally liked it because he wore it in like 1974 0r 75 and didn't wear it again until 1977 and then he wore it a lot. And I bet it was a very heavy jumpsuit. I heard or read one time that some of his jumpsuits could weigh as much as 80 pounds. So if you add the sweat to that it could easily be an extra 100 pounds possibly.

No Elvis DID like the Sundial suit and saved it for 3 yrs, wore it 1 time in '74.. then over 28 shows in '77 he knew it was his last tour.. whether he did it himself or not.. He Knew that was it. he saved it purposly for it to be his last suit. i belive Because it was all Gold he saw it Kingly and very rich looking, and Live like a King, go out looking like a King. i might be deep thinking, but Why wear 1 suit 28 times in a row ??

If I had to pick a favorite it would have to be the Aloha From Hawaii suit. With the Peacock and Sundial a close second and third. I tend to gravitate more towards the white ones but really you couldn’t go wrong with any of them.

Great jumpsuit choices

I spoke w-Robin at B&K costume company today & asked about the weight of Elvis' Hawaii jumpsuits - Robin said the jumpsuits ea. weighed approx. 5 lbs., the belt approx. 5 lbs. the cape approx. 5 lbs.; the "long" cape was approx. 25 lbs. but he would not wear it because it was too heavy. Another example Robin said was his King of Spades - the suit, belt, & cape weighed approx. 8 lbs. each. When i told her commentators on the internet claim to know his suits weighed 75, 100 or 35 lbs. for just the jumpsuit alone, she laughed & said oh, no that's impossible. If you pick up a 5 lb. barbell you can feel how weighty it is so think about some of the comments that are out there.

Great close-up video of the jumpsuit Jon!! This, so far is the closest that I've been to an Elvis jumpsuit.lol. Personally I've always loved the White Concho from "TTWII", the Fringe suit, the American Eagle from "Aloha", the Red Ladder suit and his Blue Swirl suit. But, every suit made for him is iconic and stylish. I would love to own any one of them. Thanks for sharing! Nice selfie! Aloha from Hawaii.

The closest I ever heard of him giving a suit away was when he threw the cape from the eagle Hawaii jumpsuit and I've never heard of him given a jumpsuit to any of his family much less a girlfriend. His wardrobe was part of his job I doubt very seriously he saw it as something to give away... And I'm not surprised Vernon was having a fire sale after Elvis passed because there was no way to pay the bills now and he'd be willing to sell just about everything to keep things going I'm sure..

@@dwaynecollins4974 He gave away several jumpsuits and belts. Dottie Rambo was given one, Jack Lord was given a belt, a little boy was given the thunderbird cape and belt.. the list goes on. Vernon only sold the planes after Elvis died. I have a letter from Vernon on the Facebook page that explains nothing is for sale and no donations.

all of his jumpsuits were made of fine wool gabardine, the textile used in men's (fine) suits. That's what he got so hot in them. The lady who has been conserving them for Graceland, Loretta Harper, commented that Elvis didn't have a stylist or anyone to clean & care for his clothes, early on. And, as a result sweat and bacteria stayed on the suits and discolored and deteriorated them. His first few jumpsuits were shrunk & puckered after being eventually sent to the dry cleaners: Concho, Red ladder, fringe and a couple others. She cleans them now under pristine conditions with cotton swabs and special organic cleaning solutions.

Man you need to be rlly strong to wear that I bet that weight about 50 pounds or something like that

And, you have probably forgotten, but you well know of the disputes you have had in your stores over the years, but I won't get into our personal 'misunderstanding,' and notice I labeled it a 'misunderstanding' to be really nice. But what I have done is gone about gathering the names and addresses of those peoples with whom you've had a dispute in case if needed, and I am thinking, that perhaps that is now. While you don't really need to know me, either, but in my opinion and as a public figure, you are definitely a crook and I don't even think, quite honestly, you know how wealthy I am do you?. As right now with Billy Stallings, I believe you are going to arbitration, but I would STRONGLY SUGGEST, you drop that, admit you were and are wrong, and give Billy his property. (Emphasis Added) As you see, Jon, the people with the best case win if you know anything about the law. And, when you can bring forward many 'good faith' witnesses and have someone who can throw millions at a case if pressed to do so, so as to have the best lawyers, your chances of winning are, how is it said amigo (?)...Oh yeah, SLIM TO NONE!!! Therefore, before I choose to put my cash into this, which could quite possibly destroy your entire business, I would suggest you stop messing with Billy and settle. Because I assure, and I never bluff, that if you choose to fight on with this lack of legal heavyweights, I am going to go full bore to undo the wrongdoing pretty, pretty soon and I want you to say, 100% specifically, if you want that or not? You go ahead and tell me (and actually more so my legal team who is chomping at the bit) and we will take the appropriate requisite action OK? So now you've been warned; let me know what you want to do; and I assure you I'll follow your lead!!!

Scare tactics and bullying do not work on me. I will not back down from some whining clown with a KZread channel. You clearly do not understand my net worth either and if you don’t believe me go see the video where I just turned down $100,000 for a car. Harassment is a serious crime. It would be a shame to lose a KZread channel because you were harassing someone thru videos and reaching out after repeatedly saying to leave me alone. I too am building a case and have plenty of screenshots and videos. Harassment charges in Tennessee are a misdemeanor.

I made that belt for the then current owner Michael Werner here in Las Vegas... in 2012. As a replacement. The original belt was privately owned.
