The refs are setting these dudes up for failure lol it's the same story every year, the foul merchants live off FTs all season and then in playoffs cry about officiating when they no longer feast on FTs in playoffs. Joel and James both rely so heavily on FT that it's a detriment in playoffs when game is officiated a bit differently.

Chuck's got a great point. Embiid's demeanor after the game showed a loser's attitude. Complaining about things that should or shouldn't happen in the game, head down, instead of thinking about the next games where they would still be hosting the Knicks. Nurse and the Sixers complaining about the officials ignoring the timeout calls. When Maxey was on the floor, he did NOT have possession of the ball, and therefore no timeout could’ve been called.

At least Embiid and Nurse are on the same page this time. Two years ago, when Nurse complained as head coach of the Toronto Raptors during a first-round series against Philadelphia, he thought Embiid got too many calls. To which Embiid responded: "Respectfully, I told him to stop b****ing about calls” 🤡

Kyle Lowry, the vet, should’ve called timeout as soon as he touched instead of wanting to rush it and inbound it. Nick Nurse, champion coach, should’ve called as soon as the ball went into the hoop. There was a shot clock violation where watching it at home, you couldn’t hear the horn go off. If you’re nick nurse, you gotta sprint to the ref to get their attention. Knicks in 5

Can’t call that a foul because he didn’t have possession of the ball. It was in play and they were fighting for it. Once he got possession, the guy backed off put his hands up to avoid fouling. I’m not a Knicks or sixers fan but it was just good basketball.
