Being based in Korea and having a worldwide reach he has the chance to be able to be outspoken about the CCP but instead he prefers to keep making money in China and as such he does not. Quite the opposite he even showed himself against the Hong Kong protest. All this makes him a CCP supporter.

I'm not a proper Jackson Wang fan, but I love his work, that he did this for himself and that he has built such an amazing team. I love his pride in his origins and culture too. I'm not Asian but feel an entirely unjustified identification with Asian people because my mother and her siblings were all born in Asia. At the same time I am proud of my own roots and culture in Scotland. We can embrace it all. I agree that Jackson is Chinese and his solo work is, by definition is Chinese rather than Kpop, but I don't think it "has escaped the genre of Kpop" because Kpop actually already includes all the genres you listed as well. Kpop is not a genre, but is simply pop music produced in Korea which encompasses not solely the music but also make-up, costume, choreography, and design ... and Jackson's Chinese work does this too. It is still not Kpop, though, because it is Chinese, written and produced in China, using Chinese people and I believe his dancers are perhaps American Chinese artists. I wish them all every success - they deserve it.

I can't say that I get what Jackson Wang is going through as a star, but my common sense tells me it must take a lot out of him physically, emotionally and his stress must be sky high. This combination, compromise his mental health, something that he is not able to control and so alcohol is his weakness to release these symptoms, or so he thinks. He might have a lot of people that surround him, but I'm sure friends are not many.
