Reaves' mindset is championship quality. When he gets emotional or angry he doesn't turn on his team, he turns on his opponents and puts that energy into the game.

Amazing shot. Best part about it tho, imo? He looks back at the game clock before he goes downcourt to shoot. Watch it again. That's some IQ there. He knew exactly how much time he had to get the shot off.

That’s what happens when you are in a perfect spot. You get your opportunity, you have the work ethic. You have the right mentality. Plus, the whole team is backing you up and they trust you. No where to go but up! 😊 He grabbed his opportunity and never looked back. Hopefully the Lakers extends him this summer. He really deserves more than 10mil/year

I think Austin Reaves has a lot of potential to become a star in the NBA. He's got a well-rounded game and he's shown that he can compete at a high level. Looking forward to seeing him grow as a player.

Synthetic sports a rising star in nba media. Lesgooo
Please make another video on Dillon Brooks or at least update the previous one about him being the newest villain since Memphis just confirmed they won’t resign him in the off-season 😂. Never seen someone in the league fall so hard so fast! At least not someone who’s at least a pretty significant piece on a contender. He is talented enough that I’m sure he’ll find a spot on a roster on another NBA team that’s losing , desperate, and doesn’t have many real star players (hence overlooking the drama and baggage he brings while not quite talented enough yet to make up for it) but I can’t see him being signed by any serious contenders for the foreseeable future. I don’t see him having to go overseas. I think he is too talented and impactful for that. But not by much so who knows lol. I guess we’ll see but I’d love to see a rise and fall of Dillon Brooks video from you guys.

i mean he quiet literally was their best perimiter defender, the decision to not resign him has nothing to do with his actual play on the court, but is just important from a marketing standpoint. after that kind of loss you have to show some sort of reaction and not resigning the guy who everyone hates is just too perfect of an opportunity to pass up on. hes definitely a top 30 defender in the league and has the potential to be a decent 3 point shooter. that being said, i hate that guy and wouldnt be mad if he would end up playing in china.

I don't know man. Many people yelled at Adam Silver for watering down the league "aggressiveness", the players are being too "friendly" with each other. Now we have one unapologetic man that brought the competitiveness to the playoffs and he's all sudden should be booted out from the league? Soft.

The thing that makes AR good at getting to the line is his footwork. He’s able to slither into areas that allow him to create contact with the defenders. That and his intelligence and LeBron’s coaching makes AR a great young talent

Reaves playing for USA
I may have my bias as a Japanese, but Yuta Watanabe might have had a trajectory like Austin Reeves this year, if the Brooklyn Nets didn't part ways with Kyrie or KD, and diminishing his playing time, especially post-trade deadline. Yuta was efficient 3 point shooter, leading the league in the percentage at one point, and having stretch of games scoring 10-18 points off the bench. But Austin Reaves definitely deserves much respect and love after going undrafted and rising to an important role with the Lakers. There are values in having 4 year college players, and as a important role just like Austin does with the Lakers. These guys really deserve to get drafted though.

I think a huge part of the credit for the Lakers turnaround needs to go to head coach Darvin Ham! This is his first year in the league as a coach, and not only having that pressure, combined with the pressure of coaching the Los Angeles Lakers and Coach Hamm is one of the first black assistant coaches to get a real legitimate head coaching job and he is having to put the culture on his back so to speak and the man has responded beautifully
