    Awesome. I now know how to use morph cut. But way more importantly, I know how NOT to use morph cut. I was trying to transition between completely different shots and didn't know what I was doing wrong. The list you made is awesome. Thanks a ton! Saved me a lot of headache.

    7:52 Couldn't you do a mask around one of the two people, then apply it, but I know you would have to go to B-roll to resync it up without a cut. But wouldn't that work?

    I was working on a Montage for a recruitment challenge I was doing before the new premiere pro update. I updated it, and then I'm no longer able to use anything within that project besides the music. It'll show something along the lines of this clip is offline or something. It'll say it in about 10 languages with a red background. Is there any way I can recover my edits so I don't have to start over? It takes a while to edit montages and it'll be a pain to replicate my past edit again.

    i am working on a video and this method worked, but in the same video i wanted to apply it again, but i doesnt let me. it only lets me apply it to the first clip and then it says: failure, cant apply to a single clip. Please help this cut realy doesnt look good :(

  • @zidanesg1

    I have to add that you can use all the elements you said to avoid, if you want to use it as what it actually is ''a transition'', to make a cool one for differnet kinds of videos. I've encountered one problem though, if you place the transition as it is by default, it will only use the right clip deforming the begining of that one with the same one, if you want to make the transition being with both of them, you need to expand the time the effect will be on screen. the bad thing about it is that for some reason, if I decrese the time of the effect, instead of making the same effect faster, it just cuts it in half. so the solution I found is to make the effect 3 second long, export the video and then use the new exportet clip and change the duration manually.

    hey thanks for the tut, quick question If you have 2 mid-close shots and hold same expression but change the background/bokah how bad does the transition get? you said do't do it but is it creative at all? Will the subject retains focus and the background goes cray cray or is it all cray cray cray cray

    This might already be out there but I'm looking for a way to easily create seamless transitions between different clips and I've seen this a lot on different vacation videos where the person with the camera is walking behind someone else and they are walking and as they walk the rest of the frame changes but the person in front of them stays relatively the same distance, size, and place from the camera

    Hey, I have one question: how did you managed to set the "z" key to cut in the same instant both your audio and video track ? 'Cause I used to work on Magix Video Deluxe and the hotkey to slice a clip was "t" and it was sooo much faster than hit the letter c then chose the mome,t to cut with the mouse and then hit v to select etc... so how did you do ? :)

  • @tutvid

    @tutvid

    7 жыл бұрын

    I assigned "Z" as a hot key for the "Add Edit" command in Premiere. It's not a default, but it makes my life so much easier if I'm editing that way.

    When you delete normally there is a gap in the video, when you ripple delete that also deletes the gap. The best way to understand it is to try it though.

    what i would be interested in would be something where you can work on some kind of matrix or points so you can tell the software which point is going where. i remember doing it on a picasso iv on amiga many years ago a good example was michael jacksons black and white face morphing i didnt see any way to have such a matrix or grid to move befor and after points to give the software some guidance. *if someone knows a proper morphing software any tip would be welcome.* for small morphs this will safe some time its adressing a thing alot of people are doing with the youtube vlogs popping up.

    It's kind of cool, I'd use it as an effect. I'm not sure it's as useful beyond that, especially since, more likely than not, you're going to have to cover up such cuts with some b-roll. In fact, just go straight to the b-roll and forget the morph cut altogether.

    ItsProPig you can do frame animation and export to .mov or something quicktime that i don't quite remember now IIRC. As for proper video, I've never tried, but if Ps can import video as frames, then you could theoretically use adjustment layers (so as to not make tje changes frame by frame). Not particularly practical or efficient, but possible (in theory).
