Looking for a competent tutorial. "'I stabbed myself in the eye with a pair of scissors". Great tutorial tho.

He's awesome at creating videos. At running with scissors, not so much. 😆
Note to self: Don't use Scissors for the Morph Cut
OMG this is amazing...!! Gonna go use it right now. Thanks a bunch x
This just revolutionized my way of editing. Thank you!
'Really bad'......or really cool. It's the kind of effect that can be cool when it's used what it isn't meant for.

Thanks for the information. You are a great teacher and your pacing in teaching is great.
Thank you. I kinda think the morph cut would look cool in certain videos ie music videos or some type of vlog. Thank you for showing me this!!

Thanks a million! 👍
respect bro thanks for tutorial!!!!! nice job
This is amazing thank you
Awesome. I now know how to use morph cut. But way more importantly, I know how NOT to use morph cut. I was trying to transition between completely different shots and didn't know what I was doing wrong. The list you made is awesome. Thanks a ton! Saved me a lot of headache.
Great video, thanks. Just a remark, at the end you say "AVOID : mount camera on a tripod" but you meant the opposite ;) Love your tutorials, cheers from france !

Amazing.. I never knew this..
Thanks alot ^^
7:52 Couldn't you do a mask around one of the two people, then apply it, but I know you would have to go to B-roll to resync it up without a cut. But wouldn't that work?
I have problem using the morph cut effect There is just a little jump that I’m trying to fix by using the morph cut but when I play it to see how it turned out I see a little lag between the cuts. How can I fix it?
I was working on a Montage for a recruitment challenge I was doing before the new premiere pro update. I updated it, and then I'm no longer able to use anything within that project besides the music. It'll show something along the lines of this clip is offline or something. It'll say it in about 10 languages with a red background. Is there any way I can recover my edits so I don't have to start over? It takes a while to edit montages and it'll be a pain to replicate my past edit again.
i am working on a video and this method worked, but in the same video i wanted to apply it again, but i doesnt let me. it only lets me apply it to the first clip and then it says: failure, cant apply to a single clip. Please help this cut realy doesnt look good :(
I have to add that you can use all the elements you said to avoid, if you want to use it as what it actually is ''a transition'', to make a cool one for differnet kinds of videos. I've encountered one problem though, if you place the transition as it is by default, it will only use the right clip deforming the begining of that one with the same one, if you want to make the transition being with both of them, you need to expand the time the effect will be on screen. the bad thing about it is that for some reason, if I decrese the time of the effect, instead of making the same effect faster, it just cuts it in half. so the solution I found is to make the effect 3 second long, export the video and then use the new exportet clip and change the duration manually.
How do you import clips that arent. Linked or grouped. Everytime i import i have to unlink them .
very helpful. great. .!!

I'm working on a parallax effect tutorial in Photoshop. Maybe I'll do something in Premiere on that. Good idea! 👍
hey thanks for the tut, quick question If you have 2 mid-close shots and hold same expression but change the background/bokah how bad does the transition get? you said do't do it but is it creative at all? Will the subject retains focus and the background goes cray cray or is it all cray cray cray cray
@tutvid
7 жыл бұрын
It'll be pretty cray cray
can you use this to morph one object to a different one?
This might already be out there but I'm looking for a way to easily create seamless transitions between different clips and I've seen this a lot on different vacation videos where the person with the camera is walking behind someone else and they are walking and as they walk the rest of the frame changes but the person in front of them stays relatively the same distance, size, and place from the camera
its almost 2020 now. Is it better?
Hey, I have one question: how did you managed to set the "z" key to cut in the same instant both your audio and video track ? 'Cause I used to work on Magix Video Deluxe and the hotkey to slice a clip was "t" and it was sooo much faster than hit the letter c then chose the mome,t to cut with the mouse and then hit v to select etc... so how did you do ? :)
@tutvid
7 жыл бұрын
I assigned "Z" as a hot key for the "Add Edit" command in Premiere. It's not a default, but it makes my life so much easier if I'm editing that way.
Hey nathaniel, got a side-question here... What microphone are you using? Dx

when i use this effect, rendering give an error 512.
whats the difference with delete (normal) and ripple delete
@huggingpuppy2613
4 жыл бұрын
When you delete normally there is a gap in the video, when you ripple delete that also deletes the gap. The best way to understand it is to try it though.
These cab definitly work with photos correct? example showing a kid then showing that kid as he grows up in school
@huggingpuppy2613

They probably would work, my advice would be to just try it
what i would be interested in would be something where you can work on some kind of matrix or points so you can tell the software which point is going where. i remember doing it on a picasso iv on amiga many years ago a good example was michael jacksons black and white face morphing i didnt see any way to have such a matrix or grid to move befor and after points to give the software some guidance. *if someone knows a proper morphing software any tip would be welcome.* for small morphs this will safe some time its adressing a thing alot of people are doing with the youtube vlogs popping up.
@tutvid

That would be interesting!
It's kind of cool, I'd use it as an effect. I'm not sure it's as useful beyond that, especially since, more likely than not, you're going to have to cover up such cuts with some b-roll. In fact, just go straight to the b-roll and forget the morph cut altogether.
the hand movement problem for me I'd just punch in tight to cut it out of the frame. thanks for sharing

How do you get the letter z to split a clip??
@tutvid

I set it as the keyboard shortcut using the keyboard shortcut editor in Premiere.
@ethanclarkfilm

+tutvid what is the shortcut called, I couldn't find anything called split?
@tutvid
7 жыл бұрын
You want to look for the "Add Edit" command. They don't like to keep it that simple and just call it a Split, haha. You can find it in the menus under Sequence>Add Edit Edit>Ripple Delete is the other hotkey I like to set as X
Would have been funny if in your tutorial you said ummm then replayed it with a morph cut
5 years later and It still has insane issues...that's adobe for you, switch to Davinci or Final cut, worth the transition.
dang. once again not a single example before having to watch the whole video...just to find out its not even something i want

@ZeroStrife1396

ItsProPig you can do frame animation and export to .mov or something quicktime that i don't quite remember now IIRC. As for proper video, I've never tried, but if Ps can import video as frames, then you could theoretically use adjustment layers (so as to not make tje changes frame by frame). Not particularly practical or efficient, but possible (in theory).
