I don't think she was in Gone with the Wind. Vivien Leigh played Scarlet O'hara who looks like Hedy Lamarr. Hedy might have tested for the role though.

I think she was the favourite to play Scarlett O'Hara on GWTW before Vivien Leigh entered the picture.

She sued comedian Mel Brooks, he mocked her name in Blazing Saddles! When asked by lawyers how to deal with it! Mel said, "shes Heddy Lamar, pay her!"😅 LoL! He probably took her a check!
