Extroverted thinking still really stresses me out. Whenever I have to use it, I always feel like there's an ESTJ there watching me and judging me.

Interesting! My mother abused me over lack of TE... The freeze response in trauma is very similar to low TE... And ADD diagnosis is definitely related to these other 2 issues. Feel like i got a triple dose of impaired TE, and yet I earned a full ride scholarship to college... But very nice to know it's not a character defect as my mom accused...

I had a crush on Dwight Schrute, the caracter development in him was beautyfull. ESTJs can be absolutely hilarious.

Great video Brendon, I've had such similar thoughts about Te and our relationship with it (but you described it all so well) - and I think in particular that idea that men are 'allowed' to have weaker Fi, but it isn't the same when it comes to having weaker Te. And it's kind of funny when you think of how much effort INFPs have to put into Te because we have no choice but to use it all the time.

Your story with estjs reminds me of my boss who is entj. He can just get by without thinking about feelings, which is so frustrating because i can't survive without Te. 😢 Your tip about doing more Te things after each other is what i call "riding the dopamine wave", which is a tip that helps people with adhd too 😊

I can't help but wonder if the reason so many of us INFPs struggle with using Te is because it feels "inauthentic." For me, memorizing dry, cold facts feels so mindless, and yet it's the tool to take us where we'd like to be. That, and the fact that I was berated for not "getting" things quickly enough as a child that I just shut down that function and retreated into my head.

I still haven’t found the way to dominate the TE. That’s true that I get activated purely by inspiration so I was trying to find out how i could control it and maybe trick myself by replacing inspiration with hyping up or smth like this. No major improvements still. Sometimes my brain just is not functioning and I have to wait till some external stimuli get it started like when I’m pushed against the wall for example.

Interesting! I've been very fuzzy on where Fi and Te guided my career choice. Although an INFP, I was always captivated by math & science. At age ten I decided to pursue something in the medical field. It was a very Fi choice for me - I'm all in on making people feel better. However, now I can see how I've been using Te to navigate learning the discipline. Brendon, you do have a talent for clarifying the nebulous. Thanks!

By putting yourself in situations that force you to use it. Not fun but it does work; it's the only way I learned.
