He thought he would be rich and going to Hollywood parties (an actual quote) because of his DirectTv part, and refused to do any gigs or comedic work. He even booked gigs that he didn’t show up for. Yet he expected to be given gigs and shows for lots of money. He’d gladly become part of the establishment if he was being paid millions.

It's funny when Artie does this to Mike because you know that they're buddies and Artie really cares about the guy. When Jim and Sam do it, it feels like bullying. Possibly because Sam genuinely is a bully. This is why I believe it's important for every man to get socked in the face at least once in his life.
