Who's to say you, 10 years back people in India didn't know rap. Rap is born in India, the world's first rap is "Shiv Tandav Stotram" which was written by Ravana. Also "Vishnu Stotram". And "Hanuman Chalisa" is also a chaupai, which is a part of the rap itself.

I am muslim but can say Hindu devotional song hit different, they give different level of energy, some are silent at the same time energietic and some are soul soothing. When I first heard this song I didn't realize the singer was an Indian. I just heard it for the first time a few months ago and I thought it was sung a few months ago. Holy shit, when I went to the description box I was shocked. The song was sung in November 2012. Ohh bro, I'm really shocked because I heard this after so long despite being an Indian subcontinental.
