Yep. And the close-up on the building is forced perspective. I guess a few of them are using mats and padding under his clothes. Great stunt work - although the torrent of water from that railroad water tower broke his neck! The one that puzzles me is grabbing hold of the car in passing. If you pause it just as his hand is being dragged along but his feet are still on the ground, you can sort of see that there's a technique to it similar to a Skyhook (AKA the Fulton surface-to-air recovery system), with his centre of gravity moving upwards at first before moving in an arc. And of course the speed of film exaggerates how fast the car was actually going. Fascinating stuff!

Buster Keaton had a natural knack for physical stunts. His parents noticed it, when he was a toddler & incorporated it into their vaudeville act. I suppose; it's a combination of situational awareness, self awareness, & physical prowess.

So happy that someone of Buster’s talent is remembered and admired today! I love old movies all the way back to the silent era. In so many ways I think they are better than what we have now with all the CGI and special effects - back then they had good camera angles, timing and stunts.

In the waterfall stunt, Keaton said in an interview decades later, that the rescued woman was played in the scene by a combination of the real woman actress, a dummy, and another stuntman.

I don't know exactly how he did it. I just remember at on epoint he was "her", they used a dummy for her, and he did more than any sane person would.
