As a lsu fan I feel like my tigers are gonna finally learn that we had no business playing in the Texas bowl and beat k state. Deuce Vaughn does scare me a little, but i believe well bottle him up. Tigers win 28-17 LSU scores a td late to ice the game

They made a mistake in playing him over JT when he was healthy. Him and Amon Ra had phenomenal chemistry.

Kedon Slovis got hurt against Iowa in the Dec 2019 bowl game and has never been the same. Graham Harrell all but wanted to adopt Slovis. Slovis was the reason Bryce Young decomitted from USC and went to Alabama instead and also why JT Daniels trasnsferred to Georgia. Now they mighr meet head to head in the national championship game; that is, if Kirby is Smart.

Bryce Young went to Bama b/c he wanted to be coached and win something. Slovis couldn't wash his jock, let alone run him off. Real coaching matters.

A Helton special, do extremely well their freshman season, but never develop talent. When facing decent to better talent, his teams under preform, and often lose. Helton was a master at this. The injury Slovis had against Iowa was only the beginning of the end. I'm sure he'll do better wherever he lands next, as most players do when they leave a Helton led squad.

I think his struggles were more of a reflection of the team than him. USC is an inconsistent program. That toxicity would have an impact on any quarterback.

BYU fan here. Excited to see what he'll bring as a grad transfer to the Cougars in 2023.

I am really excited to see what he can do at a quarterback school like BYU.

IOWA's DE AJ Epenese tore up QB Kedon Slovis' throwing arm.. Had offseason surgery but his rhythm was off.. Then losing WR Michael Pittman Jr to the NFL didn't help, as MP saved SC numerous times in close ballgames... Then losing WR Drake London was the final nail in his SC career...

So glad Pitt brought in a good qb transfer!

Very thorough and interesting.

Kedon did the best he could with what he was given. People don't realize getting a injury to your throwing arm really takes a lot longer to heal and get it back to full strength. Thanks KS for putting in work, and right now Dart just fits Riley mode of a mobile QB.

BYU fan here. Can't wait to watch Kedon's redemption story this season in Lavell Edwards Stadium.

I think it’s safe to say everything ended up working out for USC after he left…

I feel bad for the kid. He had to run for his life most of the time because of mediocre OL play. I don't think he fits Lincoln Riley's prototype quaterback. Riley favors very mobile quaterbacks and that's not Slovis. I wish him good luck wherever he goes.

He started for USC vs BYU his freshmen year. Very impressive at that game, Lost in OT.

Great USC receivers made Kedon Slovis appear better than he really was. I'm talking about a lot of 'jump balls' that Michael Pittman, Tyler Vaughns and Amon Ra St. Brown pulled in to help pad Slovis numbers.

He was better his first year than he is now. Clay Helton ruined him like he ruined JT Daniels

Slovis to Western Kentucky would be exciting.

Slovis was carried by 4 headed monster at receiver during his freshman year and then lost confidence. Took so many coverage sacks and was terrified to throw it down field.

As an SC fan, I really appreciate Slovis and wish him the best. I never really believed in JT Daniels and felt he was given the starting job as a freshman because Clay Helton felt he made a mistake by not starting Sam Darnold right away and didn't want to do the same for JT. At no point in that freshman season did JT look like he would become great but when Slovis took over the next year, he quickly started putting up some pretty insane numbers. It's too bad he couldn't follow up that success past his own freshman season.

FanSided said an ideal transfer destination would be San Jose State and I can see that happening. Could strive there.

The COVID year of 2020 was really feast or famine for a lot of players. Some benefited greatly, while others have struggled mightily since, perhaps altering careers forever. 🤷

Ole Miss benefited from USC. Matt Corral was committed to USC at one time and he ended up in Oxford. He gets stuck with Rich Rodriguez as OC who is run first. If future All America Elijah Moore doesn't make a fool of himself in the 19 Miss State game than Matt Luke doesn't get fired and Corral transfers. In comes Kiffin and Matt Corral becomes a bonafide star.

Past 3 years have been we are good again, sweet.Qb down… woahh , a reload. Low ammo 2 weeks later but we have another gun, fuck yea. And I’ll never understand why teams don’t take the bowl game serious. Major tv time esp this year everyone still home to watch everyone go balls out and make history. 6 months to rest up after final game

Slovis is a fan favorite. Developmental coaching is necessary to play college and NFL. Darnold is example of that. Also, unforseen injuries can have a negative impact on the development physically and mentally. USC QBs are very special and need the right coaching to maximize potential.. Bruce would never have won Heisman if he had stayed at SC.

Kedon Slovis was a product of a historically great offense: WR: MPJ, ARSB, Tyler Vaughns, Drake Jackson (although he barely even played) O-line: AVT, Austin Jackson (both 1st round picks) He just wasn't that good to begin with

I honestly don’t think he has all that good even in 2020. He threw SO MANY interceptable passes it was insane. He lucked out and defenders were dropping tons of them. That said I hope he can find success at a new school

‘Geedunk” Slovis was one of the worse QB’s in our program. Stats are empty unless they translate to WINS. There’s a reason he only received 3 power 5 offers out of HS . As usual, USC chose the wrong QB. Hence, JT DANIELS and BRYCE YOUNG. “Geedunk” always looked great in practice. That’s not hard to do. Come game day he looked lost. Game speed and practice speed are 2 different speed level’s. He could not be touched in practice. Just a bad decision to go with this kid. To be the QB at USC you have to take the pressure. Not to mention the expectations. He blew countless games for us. He will not get drafted. I repeat, he will not get drafted. Free agent at best. I doubt that too. This kid needed to stay at JC level. I hope this time around USC goes with a better, mentally capable QB. USC QB equals bright lights and pressure.

I hope Pickett’s backup beats him out for the starting job when he gets over to this side of the country. Maybe Pitt’s next TWO in line on their depth chart-and he leaves his situation to come ride the Pittsburg pine as their 3rd stringer. It’s become so normal to transfer between 4 yr schools, especially for QBs who are only interest in the best opportunity for them. Whatever happened to team first, above absolutely everything else, it’s team team team? Oh yeah, that’s old fogey nonesense. Now it’s do whatever for the best outcome for yourself above EVERYone else. If your team doesn’t do that right away, jump ship immediately and sell your loyalty to wherever else you think can. And then flex it all on Instagram 10x a day. God help today’s kids man. We don’t ever give them s chance. And you end up w/ Chad Kelley instead of Jim. A nation of little Tate Martell clones. Depressing sh¡t, man🤦‍♂️

Why do u keep saying “3 star recruit” like that’s bad? It’s 1000’s of high school players everybody can’t be a 5 or 4 star. And TBH for me being a former 2 star player these ppl that’s ranking these kid’s doesn’t even know what the hell their talking about half the time. This kids ALMOST got passed up in general just because his team wasn’t doing that good smh.

He played for USC That's what went wrong haha Now being serious, I think he has great potential he just needs to be in the right system

That's goofy, given USC is absolutely the top for QB schools, you make zero sense because good lord I hate my school because the alumni and boosters only care about the QB 🤷 Will Riley be different? Nope, he'd never be hired if it wasn't for Baker mayfield and murray... Facts So right system 🤷 dude was 5-6 all time and barely played, the little he did has absolutely earned him a NFL opportunity I bet money, Lmao

I have seen alot of great USC QBs, and Kedon is my favorite of the bunch. There was always something different about him compared to the others. Unfortunately, our idiot coaches and fans pushed him out for a far less capable QB in Dart

Slovis was a product of clown coaching and a weak conference. Let's see: You got Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Then you have Paul MacDonald and Pat Haden. Then you have Rodney Peete, Sam Darnold and Matt Barkley. Then you have Kessler. Then Slovis and who cares. The dude was never that good and he's made of glass. He was a system QB...made in the Mike Leach bloodline. Move On...and Fight On!
