@@12classics39 sometimes my mind plays tricks on me and I forget which celebs actually passed away before 2000. I'm 58 now so that just seems so weird.

OMG! My absolute favorite Madeline Kahn performance! I love every frame of this outstanding film, not least because it was filmed on location in my hometown, San Francisco. Kahn perfectly captures the neurotic hysteria of this bizarre character. Thank you, Lohengrin!

@@LohengrinVintageMovies I adore everything she did: Blazing Saddles, Paper Moon, Young Frankenstein (though Cloris Leachman is my favorite in that one)...but What's Up Doc is my favorite. Her performance is so pure and effortless, and her comedic instincts are perfect, as if Thalia herself had coached her. Did you know that she was originally cast as Agnes Gooch in the film version of Mame? They had only shot a few scenes before Lucille Ball fired her, jealous of her superior talent. It was like Helen Lawson and Neely O'Hara, only in real life.

The most underrated part of her performance is her stodgy walk... cracked me up just to see her walk

I just love this movie "What's up Doc, " one of my favourite comedy movies of all time, Beautifully scripted, just perfect, SUPERB funny unforgettable performances from Hollywood Legends Miss Barbra Streisand, Mr Ryan O'Neal and the forgettable Miss Madeleine Kahn as Unis. Miss Madeline Kahn is still remembered and still greatly missed in the performing Arts God bless her for her incredible talent. gone too soon may she R.I.P. Kim P (actor)

It's so good, every time I watch it I notice something else and it's always funny.

She went from Eunice to Trixie Delight in Paper Moon, Lili Von Shtupp in Blazing Saddles, and Elizabeth in Young Frankenstein. Just incredible actress. I also remember watching her spoof the Bride of Frankenstein during her appearance on SNL. RIP Madeline Kahn, a fantastic talent.

Ahahahah I didnt even know you had this channel!! And you love madeline kahn! She is one of my favorite damn actresses and comediennes. She never fails to make me howl. At any given point I can be found walking through my house singing "im tired" from blazing saddles to one of the cats. Did you know she was for a period of time actually an opera singer? And she had a fine voice too.

Yes you can tell in Young Frankenstein after the monster takes her and 9 has always been here to lucky number. Once he gets going when she start singing oh sweet mystery of love At Last I found you LOL the quality of her voice told me she was classically trained such a talent. And she only make four movies? No she was in high anxiety wasn't she? That's my least favorite Mel Brooks movie. My wife bought me the whole Mel Brooks collection I saw 12 chairs when I was around 20 with one of my friends Barry Dom DeLuise was hilarious. when he disguises himself as a woman and it's father Thedof " and he says to him you are so disgusting you're not even worth spitting on well you are! I watch it once a year then there's Spaceballs between Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein most are the best. Take care my friend Arnold Bourbon Amaral. P.S. still crazy after all these years 😁
