It is strange and surprising that none of the governments considered legendary Mala Sinha ji eligible for a Padma award. Sad indeed. Her contribution as an artist in the field of art and cinema is tremendous and remarkable, much more than some others who have been awarded in the past, till now. She surely deserves Padma Bhushan. Let's hope and wish that better sense prevails , before it is too late. Better late than never. Warm regards.

I agree with you Mr. Chanchal. She is the prettiest, most charming and a Versatile actress. She acted with her eyes. I think Rajesh Khanna copied that. Meena kumariji recommended her for the role of Jahaanaara saying that Mala Sinhaji will do more justice to this role than me, when she was offered first. She excelled in all her roles but in Humsaya she was like a Chinese doll and Aankhen also she was awesome. ❤❤❤❤❤ you Malaji. Many many thanks Tabassumji... Mala Sinha is my one of the favourite yesteryear heroines .... her acting, her films and songs all were very good

the only Bollywood actress who could play a Chinese spy (Humsaaya), a hindu (bahurani), an uneducated wife (Anpadh), a Mughal princess (Jahanara) and so on with so much conviction, she was truly one of the finest actresses Bollywood had, unrecognized and unsung even though she gave great hits but remained without a single award. Shameful. Last year she won the lifetime achievement award but not a single scene from any of her great hits was shown on screen. But despite all these shortcomings her fans still love her!

Not only as a Bollywood actress in 'Tollywood" ( Bengali film industry ) too mala ji was a great actress in her times and acted paralally with the greatest heroine of Bengali movie - late Suchitra sen - in the Bengali movie " dhooli " she was the co - heroine with Suchitra sen and in times when Uttam kumar - Suchitra sen pair was reigning supreme in Bengali films Uttam kumar - Mala sinha pair was equally successful ! in Bengali movies also she will be remembered as a versatile actresss - a tribal woman in 'sathihara', an upcoming singer in Dhooli, a struggling middle class working lady in ' Kobita' etc.

Mala Sinha ji was a very talented actress. She came with Raj Kumar too in four movies.

At the age of 67 now I am watching all the movies of Malaji consecutively. I knew she was a good actress and watched her movies on Doordarshan. I just came across Pyaar ka Sapna and I became her craziest craziest fan. She has everything and more than a good actress . Best features, voice, emotive face and to top it all THE GRACE which u can find in very few. Malaji I am watching ur movies consecutively from 1st October 23 and am enjoying every bit of it. I know the list of ur films is very long and In Sha Allah I will complete it. The most satisfying moment was when I heard from Tabassumji how u were not involved in that black money controversy. ❤❤❤❤❤ love you Malaji.
