In my 39 years of being a Filipino, i had never been so proud of being one. And it is because of this man from Davao. Ngayon lang ako umiyak dahil sa isang papaalis na presidente. Ngayon ko lang naramdaman sa sarili ko ang isang pagmamahal na labis pa sa isang mamayan, it is more of seeing ang isang Tatay... Tatay Digong! Maraming maraming maraming salamat sa anim na taon na pinaglungkuran mo kaming mamamayang pilipino. I know di siya naging madali. Mula sa Gera sa Marawi at sa never nino mang ineexpect na pandemic. But you stood tall for us! You provided us your own definition of leadership that in my lifetime i will never experience ulit siguro. Tatay Digong! Buong buo ang respeto ko sa yo. Mamimiss ko ang maraming maraming bagay patungkol sa inyo. Isa akong OFW, malayo man ako sa bansa na aking kinalakhan, pero dama ko ang pagmamahal mo sa amin Filipino. Mabuhay ka pa ng matagal ng walang karamdaman. Enjoy your private life! Naway magkita tayo! Makayakap man lang kita at makabless, magpakita ng aking respeto sa inyo. Naiyak din ako at 80% ng kababayan natin dahil sa taas ng bilihin simula ng siya ang namuno. Ang dami anomaly during his term and after niya bumaba sa pwesto. PRRD who was elected at his 70’s, a senior citizen, worked so hard, day and night, for this country and its people. He stood not only as a leader but a father to his nation. Under his leadership, the Philippines has been at its best, our country regained trust & recognition from other world leaders, his war on drugs made us feel a lot safer, our OFWs, men in uniform, young & elderly, basically EVERYONE, even those who are in the middle-upper class were given utmost care & importance, we also get to experience the government’s projects for free. Everything from healthcare, rehabilitations, decent housing for typhoon victims, 100M monthly cash aid for PGH, billions of pandemic cash assistance nationwide- Mind you, we live in Filinvest but my husband and I were given 2k ‘ayuda’ TWICE from the govt. during pandemic. New & modernized military equipments, roads, bridges, transpos, airport & seaports… The list goes on and on AND he made it all possible in just 6 years. He’s done so much but he NEVER took credit or even named after him anything. Not even once. He simply says that it’s his job as a public servant who vowed to serve the Filipino people. Everything he does, he does it quietly and wholeheartedly. Hats off to his cabinet secrataries for doing a MAGNIFICENT job and most esp. to this no pretense, humble old man who up to his last day as President, just did his best to give us Filipinos a better future. Voting PRRD was the best decision I made so far. He definitely deserves a break from all his hardwork and sacrifices. We hope for his peace of mind as he enjoy his senior life in his beloved hometown. Thank you Davao for lending your Mayor with us. We’ll forever treasure his legacy. 🇵🇭♥️

All the gains and achievements the country has made during Pres Duterte now has been wasted. And the government officials got even more corrupt to the core. It is so sad I miss PRRD, his leadership and love for the Filipinos are missing in this current administration.

I'm proud that I voted for him, I was scared that my expectation was to high for him that maybe he will not deliver, but lo and behold, even with marawi seige and now the pandemic, I've never seen such growth from the Philippines. He didn't aspire to be president, but responds to the call of his countrymen and face his duties in a way a True Leader do. He didn't succumb to the people who have powers, i.e, oligarchs, and face them head-to-head. His firmness changes not only how his government works but also influences the sleeping patriotism of his countrymen. He may not be perfect, but i will always admire his sincerity and willingness to serve the Philippines. Im lucky to witness him as a leader of our country. I will always support and will feel very proud of our Tatay Digong.

sis lahat tayo mahal yung bansa natin. hindi enough ang pagmamahal sa bansa para maging pangulo. kailangan natin yung may konkretong plano at malinaw na aksyon. 5 taon nang nakaupo si duterte pero wala pa rin siyang nagagawa. Asan na yung 3-6 months wala ng drug addicts?? Asan yung ipaglalaban yung west philippine sea??? Yung pandemic nga vaccine lang yung inaasahan natin since last year pa pero ngayon na may vaccine na, ang bagal naman mag-procure. Kailangan natin ng ibang presidente, yung may malasakit sa mahihirap. Hindi yung puro pagmumura lang at pananakot ang alam.
