I still miss that unforgettable voice.

The Loss of this wonderful man has never left Me or my family. As A Dad and former DJ I made sure our kids got a great grounding in music and to understand its force and power for good, they grew up listening to him and both now in their 20's still have him on their playlists. Luther was much more than a consummate vocalist he was part of the fabric of our lives and who we wanted to be as people and parents. I don't mean that in a super-fan obsessive sort of way, its much deeper and more meaningful than just that. I so wish he was here and that we could share with our kids the experience we had when we were younger. The excitement of traveling up from Wales to see his first UK tour date at the Iconic Hammersmith Odeon, following the release of "Never Too Much" back in 1981. I will, no..we will all always miss him but we have such a legacy of his wonderful songs and performances that elevate him to one of the true greats.

I believe this song touches most of us so deeply, not merely because of the beautiful sounds, but because it echoes and resonates with something in the DNA of our souls. A God-given inner drive and passion to live for something far greater and more wonderful than our mere struggle to survive. To rise above the gravity of mere self to live-and even be willing to die-- for a Heavenly cause and to bless and help our struggling and hurting fellow humans in this often dark and destructive world. To live our life - this one life we've been gifted with- to "fight the unbeatable foe" that despite our scars that by God's grace we leave this world a better place, that when we lay our head down at our life's end, our hearts can rest peaceful before our loving Creator, and without regrets, knowing we have risked, invested and yes, dreamed with our gift of Life, the dream of God himself to bring Heaven to earth.

What words spoken so eloquently. What you expressed hit home to me in a powerful way. I, too, want to make an impact on those that I encounter along life's path.
