Barbara Wallace opens the screen door for her granddaughter, Tameeka, who has just learned of her acceptance to Midlands Technical College. The story line follows the grandmother as she watches Tameeka’s progression through school and culminates with an emotional scene where Tameeka takes off her graduation cap and places it atop her grandmother’s head.
