    Actually he was AWL - Absent WITH Leave. Being Stevie Nicks’ Music Director as well as her lead guitarist, he had to be with her until her tour ends. Waddy and the “Family” selected Elliott as the right fit to fill Waddy’s spot. He fit in very well and did the same function guitar wise that Waddy does. He even was able to have The “Family” perform so songs from the Cars catalog, a rare treat. They even quipped the this made them “The Immediate Family Cars”!

    The drummer Russ Kunkel who has played on more hit and iconic songs than probably any drummer is known for playing to the song. He can be "sticks and elbows" with the best of them...especially in his younger days but again he fits right into the song with the groove he creates. Some consider his drumming boring.
