At least to this old but not unsophisticated boy's ears, this is genius. I've been listening to unusual music since the early sixties: Jazz, rock, folk, johncage, celtic, world especially Indian and Malian, and the tremulous ways of combining them are my joys. I've been a dj and founder of an alternative radio station going into its 40th year. This is among the most wonderful pieces of music I have ever heard. I'm already over-listening to it. The sitar player does such a fine job. The Celtic voice and this wonderful old English with the almost jazz sitar and accompanying guitars and other stringed instruments, and fine violin and I think cello or bowed bass. Wow. Thanks so much to the original players. This is extraordinarily good, a marriage of Shakti and Planxty. I love it! Thanks to buzz834 and the Camb. F Fest. PS:I just watched the nex youtube: It is Mratin Carthy! He's a creative individual, isn't he?

When I see people being creative like this I see the divinity of each individual shine through. Existence itself is the elephant in the room ;)

Absolutely sublime...cannot fault it... rolls and unfurls, seductively and alluring, it draws you in and envelops you totally! Loved this for years now.

A good story is still a good story no matter how much decoration these fine instrumentalists add. An oft told tale it is. What a fine singer. Thanks .

Incredible version and arrangement for this traditional folk song. As good as the Steeleye Span, but Maddy Prior is singular
