Imagine being new to Stellaris, and this exact scenario happening. They player would just _know_ the Manifesti were responsible, and would be trying to figure out the real reasons behind everything for hours.

If they were on reddit they would comment about them in response to other topics and no one would correct them. We would all assume they were joking. They would believe it forever lol

Most annoying event ever. I really wish that Autorytharians would have an option to just delete them out right. I would even take -1 pop for this if necessary.

Truth be told they are esiest faction to satisfy, i did not want to talk to those xenos anyway and I don't even remember last time consumer goods were in the green.

Damn that was the dancing inmate in cebu city a few kilometer from my house. I never suspected that they are infected with dancing plague. Am I in danger? 😂😂😂

Literally just had this event happen in my game. I usually always suppress it after the first or second stage just to avoid dealing with it, but the "Manifesti Vibes: 2/3" situation log notification always gets stuck on 2/3 for me and it started to annoy me so I did it this playthrough. Not great, not terrible, I did suppress the faction after they spawned and they left a few months later but I guess the society research was kinda worth it?

First i thought this was a mod event now I'm surprised

Never realy had any problem with 4chan faction, they just pop up mildly funny event chain, give me tiny society boost and dissolve after year or two leaving nice chunk of society behind. Same thing with dancing plague even if event chain reward is paltry at best compared to amount of research it takes. "Bruh" was the only comment from Cyrakis Federation council regarding manifesti rise and fall. And to be honest "all things related to our economy being replaced with expessive grunts" is pefectly fitting to how my economy looks for first 50years or so, holding on by complex network of monthly trades and duct tape. I trully belive that Fedration council was already using those expressive grunts (and many less than polite words) in economic talks for long time before manifesti even existed.

If it block out fatigue use it to make solider dont need to sleep or get tired

So wait, from 5:10 to 5:30 you talk about how the Dancing Plauge is dangerous and that people needed to be sedated to stop from dancing themselves to death. Then at 6:05, you said that it turns out the gas is "fairly benign" and won't actually cause people to die since their self-preservation instinct wouldn't let them. So my question is, well, which is it? Do people need to be sedated to stop themselves from dancing to death, or will their self-preservation instinct not let them? And if its the self-preservation thing, then was the earlier just paranoia and misunderstanding or what? Would genuinely love to know! Great video, dude! Keep up the great work! 😁

It basially reflects the progression of the event, from the gov. perspective I think the answer is they're initally going off reports before their version of the CDC has boots on the ground, they then realise later into the event that actually it's not that bad as initally reported.

In my first playthrough i somehow associated the manifesti with the zroni. Not the zroni so much but whatever the entity in the shroud was that was suggested may have been controling then and subverting then to its will. It never played out so i just assumed i was wrong but the thought has lingered.

@@TheRedKing I did at the time. It never really made sense and was really random. But in a universe with psionics who literally manifest their thoughts into reality I had assumed the manifesti were a prelude to something bigger. Kind of like how the Al crisis starts small with little events with the robots that hint at a greater threat.
