Illaoi is a very hard champion to counter, you need to get a champ that is capable of walking left to right, and even if you find one, you need years of training to master it, but there is one mechanic that riot never added to the game that would destroy illaoi, the mechanic is called "walking away when she ults"

@@llandaluce the joke was that every fucking champion can counter illaoi, yes there are good and bad matchups, but really walking to the side avoid most the things, and buying armor boots is useless, she does not rely on AA damage

Yea, I still remember being lvl 7 illaoi and being ganked by a lvl 4 kha'zix, who let me hit e on him before he jumped on me, that bug got squished instantly and said "gg riot released another dumb broken champ" (this was right when she first came out)

I think the heartseel just didn’t fully form yet, I saw the gray circle of it forming at 27:30 fira just went out before it was more visible

It's literally not that hard though, just stand behind minions. It's one of the harder abilities to hit unless you are up close to them imo

One trick to hit it though is to cast E just as a minion dies, while the enemy stands behind a wave and doesn't expect it

i use to play a lot of Illaoi top lane. A lot of people think cdr isn't good on her because of the 2 seconds on w when you ult. That is incorrect as your ult isn't used for most of the battle. Life steal is also good on her because you get it from her tentacles on top of life steal from items.

@Zwag Xerath if you look at the 15 minute mark when you land your second E on volibear. you can see the heartsteel starting to charge up again. I'm pretty sure you can get a proc each time you land your E

i tried this build a while ago and the health regen from tentacles is absolutely wild

Day 303 of asking for full attack speed Ornn or Tank Pyke with Grasp, Heartsteel and Overgrowth (Titanic hydra doesn't work on pyke). I know Pyke doesn't actually get the extra hp, which is why I say that titanic hydra doesn't work. The point is to get the maximum AD, which according to the wiki, is to build tank/Bruiser. I label the build as Tank Pyke because it is tank items.

Love Kench saying "not a broken champ" yet hes on Kench. He 100% bullies most of his laners and spams dance, but when he looses he cries ;)

You can know when they send too many people by the fact that your computer starts to lag.

Zwag getting 26 heartsteel stacks per proc right after buying it at 10 min, that’s not how that item works. It’s like this in all his heartsteel videos.

Bramble doesnt affect illaoi that much. Cause enemy's anti heal doesnt apply to their spirits, which is who Illaoi is mainly hitting.

No, you dont walk away when she E on you in the early game. There is no way she can kill that clone early game that quickly so walking away means you risk losing minion xp and cs.

She is surprisingly hard to run away from with Iceborn gauntlet. The 80% slow on her E lets you run them down even if they try to flash or dash away.

When i go top i perma ban illaoi because that shit just doesnt make sense. they all say oh e is a skill shot!!!! not when she fucking goes iceborn and w you. after that if she stil misses e then thats just not human. then she proceeds to 100 to 0 you with tank items. I perma ban shaco when i jungle because no one in the lobby has fun when a shaco is present. and i ban malzahar mid because that shit is boring to lane against.

Idk if illaoi is broken, but she just has some really annoying mechanics, most league players just jump in and dump their abilities and walk out, against an illaoi she loves if you just all in on her because she will just all in you and the more teammates that dogpile illaoi just results in everyone but illaoi dying. that said if you just wait out the ult and the e you should be fine.. but most league players are very impatient 😅

I play multiplayer games to get away from human interaction. Seems like I found the perfect champ for me...

I ban her every game. Sometimes even if I'm not top lane.

Then don’t put the weapon on albedo. Most people don’t even have albedo because he’s mid. It’s good for keqing, it’s good for Al haitham, it’s good for a lot of people. And it’s a very good low spender option.
