Glad this show got cancelled! Your reaction said it all. Such a waste another show could have been airing that's 100 times better, but they cancel those to air this. Also they basically used Jennie for marketing, if she wasn't in this show it would have gotten zero buzz at all. Sam Levingson needs to go to the drawing board and make something else without including sex, drugs and abuse

Why are you showing Jennie as the victim? Jennie is a grown woman and she chose to play this show of her own free will (she also praised Sam Levinson) and it was a win-win situation for both sides. He wanted to play and YG allowed it but you're just criticizing the company. I think that whoever is in the production and shooting stages of serials that objectify such women will support such things.

@@pazarrize1586 Hi. I never said any of that. You did. All I said is she was used for marketing the show which is true. They made her a cameo to boost viewership because they knew her fans would run to watch since this is her acting debut and her fans will support anything she does. Her choosing to do the idol is her choice so she should accept the consequences. But she was used at the same time. If I was her I wouldn't have did a show where all I had is cameo scenes with little screentime, or be involved with sam levingson she's much bigger than that. And she didn't gain much from this show as you said, she wasn't the lead or had any huge parts to get people outside of K pop to know who she is. And this whole show has gotten terrible reviews, it has not done anything for her, the show gained more from having her on.

I do agree, too an extent. Sam went into making the idol with the idea of it being “worse than euphoria” (in terms of the nudity). Euphoria s1 was beautiful. The cinematography, the plots, they were all very solid points. I feel like sam levinson saw the backlash of the nudity from s1 and tried to somehow make a point by adding way more than too much in s2. Other than the nudity, the plot is actually really good (teen drug a even though she was raised with love? and that basically refuses to get better and realizes that she’s harming people?), and the actors are phenomenal. Just my opinion though, others are completely in the right to disagree!

like a lot of people, i wanted to watch this show to see jennie make her acting debut. but after seeing terrible video reviews, i completely lost interest and resulted in just watching clips of jennie's scenes on youtube. 😭

This show is honestly a red flag. A huge huge red flag. When I first saw the trailer, I was a bit skeptical and a bit excited to see but then everything went downhill. This show is so so disturbing in so many ways. Please someone stop Sam Levinson to stop making this kinda shows. He has already showed us enough in Euphoria 😬

Jennie I'm so sorry. People have been hating on her for lazy dancing (and honestly, they're not all wrong but WOW the hate is crazy unnecessary), and the one time she pulls out this incredibly skilled dancing is in this dumpster fire of a show- I haven't watched it because it's not appropriate but my lordy lord the clips I have seen

They didn’t do even ONE thing right that they had done right in Euphoria. Main characters suck and have nothing interesting about them, side characters are actual NPCs, show feels fast paced and rushed yet somehow there really isn’t any plot, no character development happens, and it’s just offensive to actual victims of domestic abuse and abusive mothers.
