Utterly compelling interviews with the man . I have no synoptic obsession or respect for his choices , but I do understand the life he lead with the parents he had , certainly shaped him into the man he became . Everybody , as he says has a choice , but some people get set upon a path which seems to have hit one end . Perhaps , with a different upbringing , and a more nurturing start in life , he would have been a very different human being .

Back in college I took a psychology class called deviant behavior. One of the topics we covered was on Kuklinksi. Ironically, I accidentally stumbled upon this film just before that semester. We watched the whole interview when he was locked up. When he started talking about this particular event, this scene popped up into my head. This movie could have been so good, but unfortunately not a lot of people knew who Kuklinski was. So not much effort was put into it. Michael Shannon was brilliant though. Really captured Kuklinksi's psychopathic traits.

How did your professor feel about Dr. Dietz from the 3rd HBO interview? I recently saw that he testified for the prosecution in the Scott Kologi trial from 2020. It can be seen on KZread. He was questioned by the defense attorney about the iceman interviews. He was trying to discredit the Doctor by showing he was easily fooled by Kuklinski's claims about being a contract killer and working for the mafia. Dr Dietz testified he repeatedly told the HBO producers that Kuklinski was lying but they ignored him.

I watched the HBO documentaries about Richard Kuklinski and I thought he was a fascinating individual. When this movie came out and I found out they cast “Zod from Superman” I was so pissed off. I refused to watch this movie. But the other day, out of boredom I just said “fuck it” and watched the damn thing. And I must say… even though it’s not an exact retelling of Kuklinski’s life, it is a great movie. It really is a great movie. Zod did a great fucking job. I do recommend this movie.

James franco was always an character with triple personalities. You see him in the OG spiderman movies as a kid like i did then you see him playing a stoner in pineapple express a stoner version of himself in this is the end and then a gangsta rapper trying to look latino like mr criminal with braids in spring breakers with gucci mane then you see him in a gangster movie. I couldn't look at james franco the same way since 2008 even though he was a good actor too bad his career went downhill with all the bad talk about him and not even jonah hill tobey maguire wanna work with him anymore
