Finally they got their temps low
I can't get mine to run Windows 7. There seems to be no chipset or USB drivers for it. So I want to say, avoid. I want the best processor that can run Windows 7.

Win 7 stopped getting support as of Jan 2020, I would highly suggest upgrading if only for security reasons. Also, Intel 12th gen and up are mandatory windows 11 for their thread director communication with the OS

i9 9900k on z370 motherboard but mind y7uh yuh won't b able to use direct x 12 n rtx features. this is reason why i jumped from i7 7700 and gtx 1060 6gb to i7 12700 and rtx 3070 2 yrs back.

@@CaptainScorpio24 I found a video entitled "Run Windows 7 on any mother board old hardware" which involves rolling in the USB drivers etc intot he installer. Complicated, but the guy offers several premade ISOs for download free which I grabbed and will try. I was going to get a 5950x as that was confirmed to work but if I can run it on anything with this ISO now I ahve to reconsider what I want :-) But yeah an i9 9900k would be a huge jump from tis FX-8350 I have or a 4690K I need to move over to which is 33$ faster. I bought a second copy of my editing software just for that.

@@choppergirl don't get into so much trouble bro . just try to find the best z370 board if you can and snap on with used 9900 k, ks or non k on it. a single individual can't match the stability and optimization given by team of board partners. you will easily find the all the drivers of z370 boards on respective official websites. from 8th gen Intel igpu is only supported in win 10. 7th intel like i7 7700 was last chip which had unofficial intel igpu support for windows 7. so if your display goes wrong just make sure you have cheap graphic card lying around your cupboard

@@CaptainScorpio24 yeah i'd like to have tat igpu for video rendering of mp4 modecs. I'll have to look on ebay at prices for a i7 or i 9 cpu motherboard combo with 32-64gb of ram. someone upgrading the guts of their system.
