The Hypogeum of Ħal Saflieni

The Hypogeum of Ħal Saflieni in Malta oozes mystery and has so many rumours about it, that it’s hard to separate fact from fiction. In this video I give a detailed overview of this mysterious underground complex built by the temple people over five thousands years ago.
The megalith builders came to Malta in the Neolithic period and created stunning monuments where they practiced rituals that are little understood today. The Hypogeum Ħal Saflieni is thought to have been a both a necropolis and a sanctuary during the time it was in use, although there are many reasons why its history might be more complex than that.
Stunning artefacts and beautiful artwork were discovered during excavations which are similar to the overground temples, as well as having their own unique attributes. Find out more about the ochre spirals, the sleeping lady and the conical stones in this episode.

thank you. I will be visiting Malta with my family in April, I'm really looking forward to Hypogeum. Shame the no camera policy.... I don't know why they are being so secretive. Many other sites let you take photos without flash or you can pay extra charge to film and take photos.

I couldn't get a ticket to this site in 2019. Did you know that the Adoloretta cemetery has a third temple hidden somewhere. It's like Orion's belt. Tarxien. Hal Safieni and the cemetery.

Yeah there were supposedly some megaliths seen there before it was built. Not quiet Orion’s Belt because you have to take into account the Santa Lucija Hypogeum just south of the cemetery, and the three Kordin temple complexes. Within a few square kilometres there are six sites plus the possibility of a seventh.

Is there a SINGLE VIDEO of inside of Hal Saflieni Hypogeum on the internet? A one single video? I can't seem to find one. How is this possible in 2021 when we have videos from other planets made by NASA, that one single video from hypogeum doesn't exist? What are they trying to hide and why?

On the Heritage Malta website there is a virtual tour. But yeah it’s a shame there isn’t more footage.
