I'm here calling all the idiots that thought without any evidence of course that the 340 doesn't have anything stupid. Those kind of no brain people are reason why innocent people go to prison for crimes they didn't do sometimes.

@@tombradford7035 We still don't know if it's a waste of time in solving the case. It likely is. One cipher is useless as it is. But it may provide a future solution to the other ciphers which are hopelessly impossible to solve alone. Insight into his thinking and other clues etc.

It certainly looks that way from a frustration standpoint. The experts are probably in agreement but they can't give up for the sake of the victim's and their loved ones. The code probably does have a key in the form of numbers or words but in deciphering may reveal little.

My approach would be to pick a suspect and clue in on how they think and how they function and then say" okay what would he/she do next"? Go down the line of suspects. Could take years or...less.

It's probably just a bunch of letters and symbols he made up himself that means nothing only to him. I highly doubt this can ever be cracked. Although it would be cool if they did crack it cause apparently it states the Zodiac's name in it.

I have located a 100% hit on a clue from the "Little List" letter. There are five sets of thirteen letter/symbol phrases on the east side of the letter that when coupled with the "My Name" (Z13) clue will each form an anagram. Up to nine so far. If any are interested, I can post the solve for this.

@@mydogs5040 Don't know about the first two, but yes the abbreviation of Maine or ME is used for the two symbols on either side of the center 5 (8K8M8--best I can do typing right now). You break the 13 key by completing NAME (5) NAME on each side. It is a mirrored code by the way. The center 5 is the main deception because people assume that it is like a cryptogram wherein the three 8's are for a certain letter and on the surface you can do so, but that is not the purpose of it. You take it and use it as a sliding key. Just as the later ME-37 is not a body count and instead a reference back to the Bates letters and regarding a religious theme.

The reason it changed so much (at least according to them) is because it was modified with the previous ciphers as it developed. The only thing they are truly accomplishing is adding their own code to it which will modify it for future generations that will no longer have access to, copies of, or memories of the original.

They are truly different languages. They come from the parent - Arabic, there are 37 branches, he just picked the one he wanted for each translation. NOT CIPHER

That is twice that this show got the Lake Berryessa attack date wrong. This time they said 5 years after the Santa Barbara attack in 1963, Zodiac did a similar crime at Lake Berryessa. Five years later would have been 1968. The LB attack was 6 years later 9/27/1969.

I see a pareidolic Mickey Mouse in the unchanged original orientation standard English alphabet characters only config. This provided me with the first keyword in the Billowy wave configuration solve. MickeyDonaldLove K. being a readable alignment post-transposition. This video was an early one & seems to have only been appreciated by visual thinkers. I have a newer video that should wipe the smirks off the faces of my detractors soon. I also have a Mt Diablo Phillips Map Cryptogram solve that leads to GHodel from a Caesar shift field of Antioch with requisite confirmation pegs of 0MagN!

Thus far, the biblical aspects and references generate the most accurate solutions for the time period involved and then some...The most valuable key so far is the thirteen symbol cipher that was part of the "NAME" clue letter. When it is applied properly according to slightly altered instructions (depending upon the letter), then the results appear very significant.

@@mydogs5040 I never used for a name I used 100% successfully as a cipher and key generator that could generate names. I've already been through the solves and to my knowledge, only a few have them. I submitted them about 4 mos. prior to the FBI allegedly announcing the solve from two guys over in BFE. I keep all my stuff locked up for now.

Lawrence Klein(born April 29, 1924) lived at 217 Eddy St in S.F. in 1969. He had lived in Oakland 1964-1969. That S.F. is near the Curran Theater where Zodiac hailed a taxi driven by Paul Stein.

What if he didn't start the way you think that he did? Maybe he didn't write the text than create a key, maybe he didn't even make a key? It doesn't necessarily have to be translated into English either... He could've spoke Japanese and used the structure of their language when writing it...

A computer will contain the recorded information of false perceptions as well. Think about that one for a little and the problem becomes more evident. The associations to any particular set of facts that are linked together will be false and yet unfalsifiable at any given moment during the decryption process. That will continue until a point is reached wherein there are numerous "best solutions" (and by numerous I mean innumerable). I will give just a brief example with just two symbols... 9--(may be a reverse letter "P") 9--(may be the letter "I") 9--(may translate to 7, 9 and 11) 9--(may just mean September) 9--(may mean ADD and switch to plus symbol) 9--(may switch to a FIVE due to numerical equality) PLUS SYMBOL + PLUS=68 ADD=9 AND=19 Now, those three immediately above can be modified with the state abbreviation of "CA"... PLUS1 ADD3 AND This and the original will make... Sept. 27, 1969 That may be familiar to some who look into this...The time of six thirty may contain numerous references too. However, the most likely is a directional reference to look for more evidence "SOUTH". This is why the name associations and watch history are important (if true that is).

I have solved a small part of a cypher and I now know that Arthur Leigh Allen was the killer. I regret to say that, apart from the cypher that was decoded, the other pages were rubbish. He sent another cypher later on which was another decoy. I got lucky and broke into something smaller with results that I am still reaping. Threre is no computer that can solve his large cyphers because they were never constructed to mean anything. Leigh Allen was cunning, deceitful and devious.

Break each letter and cipher down layer by layer on an individual basis before trying the lump sum and then you will be able to look at the Z340 better. Each one forms several internal links to others and that is what needs to be looked at the most. Sorry, but it just is.

Just because he wrote in English in one letter doesn’t mean the rest of the chiphers translates into English. The (in all fairness highly debated) letter to the Chronicle in February 14, 1974 mention ”old norse” for instance. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the later ciphers correspond to a lesser known language, but perhaps a language the Zodiac is at least somewhat familiar with. Though it’s fair to point out that the word ”sla”, which the Zodiak believed meant ”kill” in old Norse, in reality means ”hit” or ”punch”. Also, it’s spelled ”slå”. But even so, the Zodiak may have used another language, even one he didn’t know that well. If so, it would be characteristic of him to use a lesser known language, and in his nature to spell it wrong.

Another possibility is that he, in the later letters, used polyglot - i.e. several languages combined, in wich each word can originate from a wide variety of languages. I wonder if the cryptoanalysts at FBI considered that possibility?

Here's the answer:. The Greek letters are the Johann Bayer way of marking the Constellations! That's what's on the letters. The Letter reveals a Dolphin called Delphinus! Go look at the Delphinus Constellation. Study it's backround and you will find the man you seek. Also, see the unique Cross!! But also see especially the serpent in the hands of the man. A serpent is also the "devil,". Look for Delphinus --not a joke! (DS 1-10-2020)

As said EVERYONE. 2 Things!!! I put the letters from the 408 into the 340. YOUMY is repeated in exact location in 408 and 340 and I got Devil and Earl. Look at my vid I've made. Also the bottom of the Exorcist letter patters are repeated words.

That actually looks like a Word Search

Zodiac killer LF symbol, 4 dots, 2 close together (LHR & BRSP) , 2 further apart( LB & PH.) The 4 dots meant 4 crime locations. You put that symbol on the map in mirror image, it connects all those locations back to the killer living in Salinas Ca. Donald Foukes saw the Zodiac - and Don was a trained policeman and an expert observer - and he said it was not Harden. The children who saw him at the Stine murder - are now saying it wasn't Harden or Arthur Leigh Allen or any of the usual suspects. Zodiac was not Don Harden. Harden's DNA is on the worksheets etc and his voice has been broadcast many times on TV - yet Zodiac victim Bryan Hartnell states that he has not heard Zodiac's voice since that encounter at Lake Berryessa in 1969. Your case is very weak and based on too many "what ifs". You also show how amateur you are when you react to valid criticism in a very angry and at times psychotic manner.

If you figure out one set of a cypher you'd realize its only partially rigth As sections of it would be decrypted to real worlds, but then other parts would look like gyberish

Okay, so where is the rest? This is probably then end-all-be-all of the entire case. A supercomputer network somewhere that "screwed" society up and the original "Z" (if there was) was a person and part of a group trying to decipher part of the lower level programming that they were seeing and/or finding somewhere. Leaked out of a corporation somewhere when in first development and that would not be too surprising to say the least.

An A.I. deciphered a revealed name of the Killer. say's Richard Nixon, then head of the C.I.A. was the killer

This series ended following the publication of Dr Sam Blake's cracking of the code. Dr Blake's solution was apparently acknowledged by the relevant law enforcement authorities. It appear the real culprit died in 2018, and was running a band of younger accomplices. This documentary proceeded from the premise that Zodiac was a single individual.

Let's look at that strange group letters "AI"... 1) cIA 2) zo-IAc 3) en-IAc The alleged "Canaanite" (caine/eniac) city of "Ai" (AI) is mentioned twenty-two times in Joshua Eight (KJV) along with Mount Ebal (Abel) to refer back to the Genesis story of Cain and Abel. The chapter has thirty-five verses (the letter "I") and probably is designed to mesh somehow with the Z13 cipher with that letter being centered at position seven which contains one of the three circled eight symbol. A possible test would be with (at a minimum) five letter words such that the grouping of either "AI" or "IA" places the letter "I" at the center. Also, thirteen letter words or phrases such that that scenario takes place. It might yield very interesting results. Of particular note is that verse thirty-four has twenty-six words (the letter "Z") while verse thirty-five has thirty-four words (the eighth letter "H"). Finally, there are four ciphers, but the third cipher is in two groups of fifteen and seventeen. These can be converted into alphabetical state listings in ascending order (once swapping the Z32): 1) 408=8th state=DE 2) 13=13th state=IL 3) 15=15th state=IA 4) 17=17th state=KY 5) 340=40th state=SC When centering as outlined above, the the five letters are "ILIAK" (which may then be anagrammed).

I thinkt that some how Ross and Lawrence knew each other. Maybe Ross was contacted by Lawrence after the arrest of young students, who where producing a film with a murder. Ross played as the murder in this short film. This was in the newspaper and police was called to go the scene. Maybe Ross was the mastermind and Lawrence the killer??? Ross was in '61/64 in a mental hospital for criminally insane?? For what incident was he there???? Lawrence Kane was diagnosed with psychoneurosis hysteria. Had an accident with brain injury. So what if Ross had also the same interest about writing codes, at least Lawrence had to do something with sending codes at the navy. Both had maybe a wish, killing people, who knows? 2 People knows more then one! Ross is the producer and Lawrence Kane is the main acter. And it makes allot more difficult to solve it. I hope History channel will also do cases like: Bende van Nijvel Operation Gladio

That sounds entirely possible that they knew each other and may have worked together on some of them. They both lived in the Albany N.Y. area before California.

The answer is to seek a radian infatuated ex military man of about 78ish? I have recently proposed a new geometric algorithm for the Ebeorietemethhpiti remainder. This is now up as a short very unexciting video on my new YT channel. I agree with you on a computer likely not solving 340. However I have come up with a final configuration for this cipher and a partial solution (contains Lake Berryessa apposite biblical text refs) which I submitted to police in my jurisdiction on Sept 6, 2018. they cracked it last week, confirmed it today... wasnt gibberish, it was 3 separate sections supposed to be read in a specific pattern while alternating in a specific order, omitting 6 letters at the end of paragraph 2 line 1 (from the pattern).. fixing a positioning error on paragraph 2 line 6 “I hope you are having lots of fun in trying to catch me. That wasn’t me on the TV show, which brings up a point about me. I am not afraid of the gas chamber because it will send me to paradice all the sooner, because I now have enough slaves to work for me, where everyone else has nothing when they reach paradise so they are afraid of death. I am not afraid because I know that my new life is life will be an easy one in paradice death.” some speculation as to "i know that my new life will be an easy one in paradice life is death"

I suspect it's jibberish. He didn't have a computer, so regardless of how 'complex' his key was, a computer can be programmed to run an unlimited number of possible scenarios. You can't solve jibberish... which I'm guessing was his goal. A perpetual focus on his simple puzzle... even long after he's gone...

some of these symbols like Φ,Λ,Δ are from Greek alphabet... so I think that this guy take symbols from around the world. in the beginning I was though when I first saw it was viking language because some symbols looks like old norse ...I don't know ...

greek alphabet and astrological zodiac alchemical symbols, the 'zodiac killer' is heavily steeped in occult esoteric learning for sure. the greeks of course heavily influenced astrology, all of the myths of ancient Greece and gods are referring to the planets and constellations in the sky.

Yet another smoke and mirrors effort from History Channel, keep giving us little snippets teasing that they broke the Z340 cipher only to hit us with a solution that looked like a kid trying to fit random words into a crossword puzzle. They claim some letters aren't encrypted and represent themselves, the first 4 characters of the cipher are HER>, which they claim is HERE that means the letters HER represent themselves and aren't encrypted, yet the E at the end of HERE is represented by > so that claim falls apart right away. If letters only sometimes represent themselves then you can move the goalposts to suit whatever solution you like best. This problem repeats itself throughout the apparent solution, if the fundamental building blocks they used to construct the rest of the message are so badly flawed then anything built on it is a waste of time. I knew where this program was heading when they started making bizarre leaps like deciding that gravel would be a good projectile for a bomb Zodiac trolled the police about, then having a sniffer dog sniff around a random tree next to a random gravel road, at which point they decided this was a good place to search, some guy then spends about 5 minutes stabbing the ground with a plastic mine searching probe, then starts to dig while excitedly exclaiming that the ground has already been disturbed, yeah you just spent 5 minutes stabbing it with that stupid plastic probe.

The idea that the letter "E" is represented by two different characters is normal in a Cypher. This was present in the decoded Zodiak letter. One decoding tactic is character frequency. You count up the quantity of each symbol in the whole text and rank them in order of most frequent to least frequent. You then take the English alphabet frequency rank and match them up. Since "E" is the most used letter in English, whichever symbol appeared the most most likely is E. To combat this, a key will take all the most common letters (R, S, T, L, E... just like in Wheel of Fortune!) and intentionally create multiple symbols that map to one letter, in order to make them appear less frequent and to create conflicts, like the one you cited (two different symbols can't be E, can they?!) So, no, it does not "fall apart" as you say because of this. I have an encryption/decryption ring which has two symbols that both represent the letter E for this very reason. When writing a Cypher, you can use either symbol for E, as both will always decode to E.

Experts textperts don't you know the Joker laughs at you - he he he hahaha - the 340 was solved by three everyday private citizens - so there! LOL

Its arabic, you translate, not decipher. Or one of the 37 languages related to it. Thats all, he never ciphered a thing.

I don’t believe the zodiac to be that intelligent. Don’t use he “was never caught” excuse as many criminals have never been caught. His original cipher was cracked within the week. He got upset when he realized he was stupid and wrote these ciphers without any coherency.

There is an answer to the Cipher, but no one will listen long enough to get the answer is what's the problem is.

Okay so let's understand this correctly .Through your mumbo-jumbo talk you're taking intelligent thinking and language and applying it to somebody who's a psycho sociopath murderer who doesn't think like a normal person . And yet the computer wrote a cryptic yet spooky peice of poetry in response that was actually quite good. I think the computer and the killer have quite a bit in common. If you doubt me, try having a conversation with an online A.I., they is Psycho and very bipolar like humanity.(no offense Clever Bot, your still special to me though!)

I've solved it (the last eighteen letters of gibberish in the 408). There is at least one correction to be made, two letters to add and one to remove and finally to anagram... EBEORIETEMETHHPITY Add a letter "M" and "R" for Revelation Thirteen Eighteen EBEORIETEMETHHPITYMR Remove one letter "E" as per the "MY NAME IS _____" blank five-letter clue. The letter "E" is the fifth letter and there are five of them. EBEORIETEMTHHPITYMR THE EPITOME. MY REBIRTH

It's dumb to think that you can solve it with math.. Zodiac killer didn't always spell things correctly so mathematically the code will never make sense.
