The Hunt for $1 Cheese Coin Cake in Saigon
In this video I decided to go to Chinatown in Saigon to find a popular and delicious Cheese Coin cake.
I started by walking along the busy road looking for the first stop where I can buy delicious food. In my surprise I did not had to walk for long because I spotted very attractive looking place. This place was selling dumplings. They had so many and they looked so delicious that I decided this is where I want to eat first. The lady that was selling recommended number 11 on menu, and I chose 35k Vietnamese Dongs plate. That included one big dumpling and 5 small ones. As I started to eat these dumplings I didn't want to stop because they were just melting in my mouth.
Second stop was to find a delicious snack. I thought I will go to the place near the school and find the guy that was selling cheese coin cakes. But he was already gone. But on the other side of the road I saw another interesting looking place that was selling some pancakes. I went there and ordered pancake with chicken, chicken ham and cheese. That was super loaded and very delicious. I had a good laugh with the seller and he even gave me one chocolate pancake for free. When the time came to pay money, I decided to leave him a tip.
Finally the time to find Cheese coin cake has come. I walk walked a little and saw the guy selling these cakes. I ordered two of them. Then I was making some jokes with him and the customer. I was even trying to sell the cakes, but just for fun. Everyone laughed, because of my selling skills and probably the way I spoke in Vietnamese. This cake was so delicious and the amount of cheese in it was just great. I have never tried to eat this kind of cake before, but I am glad that I came across to it.
And for the last bit I had to wash everything down. I walked for couple minutes just across the road and found a lady that was selling coconut water. I took the small one, because I was already full from eating food along the way.

It was my first time trying it. Apparently they are quite popular. I saw them on tiktok and thought I will have a try. It was well worth it.

You often mixed up the Vietnamese currency ( Dong ) with the Thai currency (Baht)

I just came back from Thailand, maybe that’s why. In Thailand I did same thing, instead of Thai Baht at first I was saying Vietnam Dong.
