Idk man I was the opposite. It took me ages to get through the first book, but I devoured tbosas. I really like how Coryo is detached from the games, as he was raised in a society where death and politics are rife. I do read a lot more slower paced books than action, so maybe that explains a lot, but I just love the build up. Part 1 is probably my favourite part in terms of world building
