Tonight, I'm listening to it for the first time in many years: I had forgotten how extraordinarily good it is!
Road trips in Australia, full bore on an open highway, this whole album blazing as I whip the car around corners and pass trucks like I'm a low flying plane. "Do or die" as I'm heading for the next fuel stop, knowing I'll make it with fumes in the tank. Life was had day by day, fully expecting to get nuked as the Cold War suddenly became hot. Great memories. I miss the 80's so much.
No doubt, one of the greatest albums ever made.

This is THE perfect Pop record! Before Pop was a rude word. Every Track is great and some are even greater. Once in a lifetime for the band and they never even got near to it afterwards..although Hysteria is better than everybody says but how can you follow Dare! ? Impossible 😊

One of the best really
This album is totally changed my life. I was 14, played bass in a young local rock group. On a day the radio played the Love Action. It was something new, unique. I stored their name in my memory. A few months later the radio played Don't you want me... I was in shock. It was completely new sound, a new sonic vision. I left my group next day and I switched to keyboards. Finally i worked in the music industry for 20 years, as session musician, composer, arranger, producer and sound engineer on 120 albums, includes numerous platinums and golds. Its all thanks to this album.

I was 14 too and this album changed me too, but in a different way. I rushed with my motorbike to buy this LP and when i parked i touched with my leg a hot exhaust and burned my leg. I still have a scar. Oh yeah, and i still know all lyrics by heart!:)

Amazing
18/19 years old in a nightclub after the customary Saturday night pub crawl and dancing to The Sound of the Crowd, urging people to get around town, knowing we were in that town was a little surreal
1981 soooooo long ago but i love this music over anything today
My dad bought a vertical playing Mitsubishi record player, the amp and speakers were amazing. I will never forgot playing Human League 'Dare' and 'Love and Dancing'. My dad would go away for two weeks on the oil rig and I had the house all to myself. I was much happier then.

Life was certainly easier then- we could escape into our own world without the need for social media which quite frankly makes humans less social than ever.
Great ..pop music…here we go. Does anyone here like the Human League? Still can’t out of my head, Rik doing his dance to Things That Dreams Are Made Of before the Pigs come in and smash up the record player 😂😂😂😂
The 80s were a phenomenal time. Dare, Vienna, Non Stop Erotic Cabaret, Speak and Spell, Visage, Specials, Replicas, Peter Gabriels 'Melt' and 'So', U2's 'War', Eliminator, Avalon, Pretenders, Tracey Chapman, Born in the USA, Thriller. And they're just the ones that spring to mind. Never has pop music gone in so many fantastically different directions simultaneously.

Very nostalgic, love it ❤

I taped Seconds off the radio in 1981. First song I ever heard from Human League and still my favorite. I always assumed it was about Hinkley shooting John Lennon and was frankly a bit disappointed when I found out it was actually about Kennedy.
What a quality of analog sound...
