Saw one of these when I visited China last month - it's the only car I've seen in recent memory that I was truly stunned to see. Somehow, it already had a taillight out. Had no idea what it was until I got home and did some research.

If you see this car in real life, you will definitely be even more excited because it is more stunning than any picture or video. I still remember how futuristic it looked the first time I saw it on the road.

I feel like alot of people would be wondering what kind of company would have the resources to not only start an independent car company, but also release high end hyper futuristic self driving EVs as their ONLY cars. 1. HiPhi is owned by Human Horizons, a Private company that manufactures cars under HiPhi and develops Autonomous driving technology. 2. The Founder of Human Horizons has an impressive resume. He worked for Volkswagen-China, was CEO of GM-China, was CEO of SAIC(He was the one who made moves to buy MG/Rover), served in state government(director of a Shanghai High Tech Park). 3. Human Horizons is working with Bosch Connected Mobility Solutions That's it. There's not alot of info on this young company but given enough time, growth and sales, they could very well be the most exciting EV maker in the world.

So you answered your own question from point #3. The guy is a soulless CCP who steals our designs and tech. Couple that with all the stolen money from the poor Chinese citizens then you have a company that’s got the resources to start independent car company with shitty angular design and self driving capabilities

Honestly, it's actually more beautiful than most cars in the US/German nowadays.

In my opinion this car looks amazing and so futuristic.

That is one of the most futuristic and outlandish piece of moving contraption I've seen. Fascia has a Nissan GTR look to it with a Sierra Cosworth RS500 wing in the back. Design also seems it can be modular, like it can be transformed into something else.

@@fdjw88 I am not in North America nor a western country at all which is what's sad. Yes, I know that SOME chinese car manufacturers are international but not these brands I guarantee you. Only bigger brands like Geely, GAC and BYD are prevalent. The cool ones like HiPhi and NIO have not reached outside of China yet.

U know why they're not selling in the NA region, some ppl don't want them to come in and stir the market up so some manufacturers won't lose their competitiveness. The sad thing is consumers at the end have limited choices.

@Eric Liu They are required to sell through a dealer network. These are expensive to setup. Additionally you have to have a parts and service network.

Man this is my favorite channel when it comes to cars. Its like he shows cars from another metaverse.

When HiPhi X is announced, most people thought it was a scam and will never enter production. Now they sold more than 4,000 last year, and they have another, even more ridiculous model. Good job!

@@ahmadahmal2942 In the USA when I was growing up, the Boy Scouts had a "pine wood derby" contest every year. You got a block of pine a given size and shape, and metal wheels and screws (as axles) and you carved the body into something that you hoped would end up faster than everyone else's. Every Tesla ever released reminds me of some of those pinewood carvings.

If you would put this as a mod in cyberpunk 2077, I wouldn’t even know that it’s a mod until Wheelsboy here come and tell me that this shit is actually for sale. I had the same level of confusion when I saw B2 Spirit as a child.

The copy you wrote (and read!) for this episode was just a JOY to experience. That first graph -- superheroes sitting on beanbags -- really just set the tone for the entire thing. Seriously, thank you. I loved it all.

I couldn't believe that is actually a real car. It just has a way edgier look that's different from other cars I've seen videos of and in real life. It's like Tesla Cybertruck level but in a different design direction that seems to draw inspiration from sci-fi and/or futurism.

For us in our european market the closer car from this one will be the bmw ix, but where bmw has made a car without a real sex appeal (it really looks too strange for me) this car is really sexy. I’ve already said it in an other post, i’m really impatient that all these chinese EV’s car arrive in France in order to have performants products to purchase. Keep going guys, you really give us an interesting point of view

this is not the car for comfort type guy. this is more like for the M/AMG type guy who loves space/futuristic content. i love it and with money would buy it over any bmw/mercedes/tesla

Far behind? Im electrical engineer, but really Tesla is FAR FAR FAR ahead of any Chineese car company regarding efficiency of components and engineering level. Sorry. I can get 450km from a 60kWh tesla battery in summer. Not a single Chineese car can do that. And that is pure facts.

Even if I can’t afford Chinese EVs I’d still would like them in my country, they look so awesome!!! Ban is just annoying

Next week Thursday I will do a testdrive with the BMW iX but I think the HiPhi X has better technology and more special features for sure! But I don't think it will come to Europe anytime soon else I would buy it. HiPhi Z > HiPhi X > Zeekr 001 > Xpeng P7 but I think most chance to buy here will be Xpeng P7 or Zeekr 001.

Not pretty, but there's nothing like the HiPhi Z. Brilliant looking car and definitely one I've been waiting to get the Wheelsboy treatment.

With very little design adjustments, this car will sell like hot cakes in the western markets. Keep it up Hi-Phi

There are many brands of cars in China that have done very well, comparable to some of the earlier developed cars, cars made by the state. In China, those joint venture brand cars have been suppressed, and now the price of Chinese cars is very low. Many other brands of cars are now sold very cheaply in China, and some have even dropped by more than half. There are also subsidies from the state and 4S stores. It is very cheap to buy a car in China at present.

One thing about Chinese car makers, they don't shy away from making cars that stands out... there are some quirky ones out there but in time, they will improve in quality, design and practicality.
