A series with emotional impact. It's the exploration of a hero character made at its finest. No hundreds of explosions one after the other, no empty and exaggerated battling, effects or CGI. Human emotions mixed within the essence of what a fantastic hero is: incredible, but not futile. No stupid punchlines to make teenagers shiver here and there, nor simply an "action guy". At the end, it's really just " a guy". This show is one of the best hero adaptations for such reasons. It has real depth and it's a real piece of art. The credits song still makes the heart feel the character's pain to this day.

I used to watch the show religiously every Sunday evening as a little kid, and even though I loved it, I was actually somewhat afraid of the Hulk! Every time David would start transforming, I would instantly get up and hide behind the chair, because I knew some bad guy was about to get it - but I would peak around the corner because I still wanted to see every bit of the Hulk's rampage! I used to think the Hulk was REAL, until I saw the Mister Rogers episode that actually showed Ferrigno having his makeup applied, and showed him standing beside Bill Bixby to prove that they were two separate people.

Seriously? I used to crap my pants every time he changed into the Hulk. People told me he was a good guy and only hurt baddies - but in one episode he went insane, attacking everyone... I never forgot that 😂

@@3912James One of my favorite scenes in a Hulk episode was where the Hulk happens upon some baby birds, and tenderly picks them up from the ground and places them back into their nest, and then another scene where he finds a rabbit caught in a hunter's trap, frees it, and then sits down and gently holds it and strokes its fur, as he slowly starts transforming back into Banner. Such poignant glimpses into the Hulk's true gentle nature.

Nothing beats the TV series!!!

This mindset and mental gymnastics It's required in order to keep your illusions grandeur and accomodate and protect your childhood memory, despite of obvious reality which is just sad. Because mental wound of your aging is so deep and painful that you refuse to look this things on realistic matter and admit to truth to yourself. When you can advange of it's identity policy which creates apparent. But in reality like super thin, pre cracked glass wall around your sensitive and fragile psyche which is shattered by even the slightest impact. Thus you curl up only deeper safe refuge of your nostalgia glasses.

LOL when the green mist came down and battle commenced, it was always down to who could throw the biggest item to hand, started off with small items and ended up with the hulk throwing a house, big Lou always won.

When the Gorrilla finally realized the Hulk was stronger, he gave up and went back into his cage.

Poor David Banner; 😕 his shirt budget must be so bloody high, he must be buying them 10 for £1 or 10 for a dollar. Not to mention his trousers budge 😧 and the shoes 😲 Hope he gets special deals. He must be using consignment shops.

Agree, as Bixby played a more serious part, as Lou was The Hulk. He wasn't as up to date as they made the later Hulk's appeared to be, however, it was.a show that both adults and children could enjoy together. Great show. Did you know that.Lurch did all of the roaring of The Hulk in the early years?

The guy on the Zoo tour bus, ' here is an adorable Kangaroo'' and The Hulk appears lol

I love this classic old Marvel show, so much. It's one of my favorite Incredible Hulk tv series that I recently got into.

Friday nights at 7:00. This was the show.

I honestly don't see the problem. I never get angry much less mad. This is a childhood emotion.

The scariest part of this was the Ford Pinto being used as a police car.

Carl was a stone cold killer. An actual gorilla could have torn David limb from limb and would have beaten him to a pulp.

No one questions why the hulk had a ripped zoo uniform shirt on and David is no where to be found.

Must be great to get turned back to human too. The hulk has to get angry to turn into the incredible Hulk. I turn into the beast when I'm angry. I remember an episode where a kissing dog was licking the hulk wounds. The hulk turned back to human. That's how I feel when something a commenter like like about what I said or done right if I agree.
