I found your channel by chance through eBay (Nitro 4Tek). Actually nice to see some of the life a car has had beforehand. Will keep an eye open for anything that catches my eye, I’m after a nitro off roader at the moment.

Jay Pearce Will definitely keep an eye out on your channel! Actually saw this very truck on eBay before checking KZread, but that would be because I’m smashing refresh on “nitro” as a search term every half hour or so haha. Look forward to what you may have up for sale next 👍

Thanks man! With the 3.3s I usually go 3.5 to 4 turns out from closed on the High and the low end I make sure the screw head is flush. 3.3s are known to be a turd to tune!

Great video mate. How do you tune the low speed needle with the gearbox in the way, without removing the carb?

Where can i buy parts for this jay? Or do they not make them no more?

Hi man , after a little advice I have the hpi fire storm , having issues with keeping it running , starts up fine run great for about 30 seconds then stalls out, process repeats no matter what I do , any idea what it could be ?

Just try low needle 3 turns out and high 4 turns out and tune from there, set idle gap at 1mm and make sure you have a fresh plug in. Let me know how it goes

Hey buddy. Just revived my Firestorm after 10yrs🤟. Got fresh fuel, new plug igniter and plug and still having some issues:/ can't tune the idle screw to the point, where it just stays and dont move when started. It's always revving a little. If i make the carburator open only 1mm, i can't start it. However, the high speed needle was easy to tune for me. But i just have big issues with the idling. Do you have any tips? Thanks man :)
