I loved the early shows because they were so free-form. Several subjects are covered. Ralph, Tom, Reiber, Gange and Dice make brief appearances it's all jammed into a perfect half-hour.

Incredible how INNOVATIVE Howard was. This was filmed 30 years ago, and TODAY just about every podcast looks identical to this.

This show was such a huge part of my young adult life.

Well he certainly doesn't dress his age or have age appropriate hair color. Stranded NYer is always ragging the same rag. I'm pushing 60 and listened to Howard, yes, back when the show was funny. He doesn't owe anyone anything except the schills who still pay for him to not do his job which is to be funny and relevant, neither of which he is now.

Say what you want about Ralph, but Howard went from a complete dork, with a bad moustache and out of date look, to a reasonably hip and somewhat handsome guy. Im not saying the guy was George Clooney, but his transformation from the 80s to the 90s was pretty remarkable. Ralph gets some credit for that as crazy as it sounds.

Howard got his first car bought for him by his father and his father gave him $100 a month back in 1976, which is equal to roughly $500 (2021) money. Why would Gange, who barely makes any money ($1,881.26 in todays money) buy a new car when he could of gotten a decent used car for $2000
