I live in central FL also, and when I moved down here from Ohio two years ago, my cats got something that they had never ever had before: a screened-in lanai! I had a cat flap installed in my kitchen door so that the cats could have 24/7 lanai access. They couldn't be more content!

@@shariys1 If you live far away from cars and roads there's no problem letting cats go outside. Mine and my sisters have all been going outside and her oldest got 19 years old and her 4 current are 14 yo. If you take responsiblity and the right precautions it's perfectly safe to let your cats out. Plus, it's enrichening their lives SOOO much. Indoor cats are unnatural and cruel imo.

I love how the boys are still so playful even though they're getting older. With additions of the two new kittens there are many more days of kitty silliness ahead.

01:55 - Marm knows that trees aren't supposed to do that. Last year, my brother was in the garden with our Baz, and leaned against a dead tree that had root rot, knocking it over. Baz stared at this in horror, thinking, "That is seriously messed up!". Just one more reason why Baz doesn't trust trees.

Congrats on the new kitty house. I still have packing boxes from our move back in September, some of them are in the living room with kitty entrances and kitty looking ports in them, I buy new toys for them and they use the boxes they come in to play with, lolol

We did the same thing when we moved, left lots of empty boxes and little spots of catnip to point out to them the new windows to look out of and lots of things we already knew and loved to ease the transition for our 3 girls to ease the stress from them. Now 6 months later they are even happier in a bigger house with more room, another bed to lay on, besides ours of course, and lots of windows to look out of including a window table for dinner bowls so they can eat al fresco. It was important to us that they were as comfortable moving into and loved the new house as much as we did and it worked out better then I hoped especially since it's actually there house we just live there at their allowance! 🐱🐈❤️

This is 100% therapeutic. Purrfect. 😻😻😽😽

She expressed significant interest in some of my microgreens, so I hand fed her a few blades of Kamut grass and she went to town on it! It's now sitting in an accessible area for her convenience (of course).

I am from Connecticut, and I adopted my kitten from a shelter in Florida. He was a gift from my grandmother. The kitten was found in an alleyway when he was only two weeks old and he spent 1 and a half months in a shelter before I adopted him when he was 8 weeks old. Being separated from his mother at two weeks has cause him psychological issues like separation anxiety and a compulsion to nurse on everything (he is a year and a half old now). He is black and white and and absolutely adorable and I love him so much even with his imperfections. ❤️.

So glad you all had a safe move and have gotten everything in place. I so glad Cole, Marmalade, Jugg and Zig Zag made the trip in good spirits. I would be worried sick about moving a long distance with just my one cat, not to mention four! I hope things go well and I will be most interested in the continuing saga of adorable Cole and Marm plus their their new bonnie lasses. FL has a lot of nice places, but I could never handle the heat and humidity. Take care and please do not ever stop speaking out for and helping out all kitties in need.

I'm always amazed by cats that live together and actually like each other. My cats make faces at one another and get into what I can only describe as swat fights. Rarely are they calmly within feet of each other. So seeing Cole and Marmalade groom one another is like totally foreign to one another.

Oh they are so sweet when they hide! I have a cat named Baby who loves cuddling and hiding as much as CAM. She's a female tuxedo with a loving demeanor and a sweet little face. She loves to play too! She's lived 16 healthy years and she spends most of her time with me.

So cute 🐈 keep up the good work !!

Just make sure you’re portioning their meals right, I think it’s something like a half of a cup twice a day, it’s easy to over feed cats

Marm is a fashion cat. He always knows what colors suit him and make him look gorgeous. That's why he went for the aqua box. It was precisely the right color to match his fur.

I’m glad to see Cole healthy and that the kitties coped well with the drive.

You can never make a bed, when cats decide they are helping too. They have to be there at your every move, even bathroom inspectors too. I can tell by their meows which cat is which, well most of the time. They definitely keep you on your toes. Lovely watching the furbabies explore the house when you moved. Anyway have a lovely day.

Last time I moved, my cats hid in their litter box for at least a whole day. One of my cats got a lot closer to me after the move. She was really shy before it and, afterwards, she realized that I thought she belonged with me. Now she purrs by my ear every night until I fall asleep. It's the best sleep aid ever!

Marmalade is possibly the world's cutest cat! Of course I love Cole too and the kittens. But I just have a weakness for orange tabbies and Marmalade's color and wide set eyes are so darned adorable. I can't stop smiling!

This is too relatable! I own a tuxedo cat named Crispy who we rescued from a hoarder. And he will sit on any box he can find, and sometimes, just sometimes, it doesn’t fits.

i love your pawsitive attitude about bed making. 12 of my 14 rescues believe that bed-making is a family activity. your cat art is superb. marmalade - well, i adore his "stunned" look, cole's gorgeous, and the wee kitty siblings are so beautiful. best of luck for your future!!
