    I see that buying property hacking would be a lot harder now due to high prices. We bought a house just prior to the high price and working on building and ADU here soon. But as we look to the future if we want to do this in the future seems very hard. Any thoughts on this

    For sure... higher prices and higher rates have definitely impacted affordability. That's part of why I'm so passionate about spreading the idea of house-hacking in a multi-family property -- or with an ADU like you are doing. Getting a leg up from some additional rent is one way to make buying a property a little more viable. Good luck with your ADU construction! You're adding another much-needed housing unit!
