Yeah, this definitely builds on the legacy of something like Bizarre Love Triangle. 50 ain't even old, and there's still plenty of great music being released all the time. No shortage of people inspired by the 80s sound in particular.

Yup, I'm 53 and was thinking the exact same new wave thing. OMD, New Order, etc. Doesn't hit the same but it's not their fault, ya had ta be there.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the audio engineer? This mix is just... euphoric. The way Faris's voice seems to be coming from some sort of non-distinct, almost unearthly source that spreads outward from the right, then across both speakers? The bass, sounding almost like waves or gusts of wind? Multiple tracks of the keyboard coming from multiple directions? It's amazing. ...It probably also helps that the first time I heard the song I was on a plane, leaving home to move to a new state on the other side of the country... So I might be biased.

THE HORRORS ARE QUICKLY BECOMING A SUPER BAND

In addition to being a great song, this is possibly the slickest piece of production ever made.

I could listen to 4:00-4:30 for the rest of my life and never tire of it

I can't express in words how much joy this song gives me. It's wonderful

people under-estimate how hard it is to write a hypnotic pop song like this. This will grow on everyone and become one of their most famous songs i reckon...imagine hearing it live.....fucking vibes !

Found a CD copy of V at a pop up vinyl thrift cause my brother has a vinyl obsession. Bought it for R25 (about $1.25). I have shared this song (and the album) with basically everyone I know -- this is far too underrated for its quality and groove.

Unbelievable that this is the same band who released "Count in Fives", "Sheena is A Parasite" or even "Who Can Say". Brilliant track, loving both singles from the upcoming album!

I FUCKING KNOW RIGHT! these lads can NEVER go wrong...harsh and abrasive but they're still preserving that eagerness to experiment. don't get me wrong Strange House is a powerhouse in modern post-punk but i wouldn't want them to get stuck to that sound. if anything i love the experimentation going on across all records. this one looks like another game changer

used to listen to this all the time when on road trips :)

This is super good. So anthemic and new wave-ish.

Didn't want to hear this song from the first place, but after listening to its' beats and flows, I've become more peaceful than ever!

So far every single they released is amazing, this album is going to be my new favorite from them since Primary Colors

I love Luminous, the band's previous album, and when I first picked up V I felt a little underwhelmed and didn't play it that much. Recently re-visited and it hit me in a huge way. Its stunningly produced and the songs beautifully pieced together. Its rapidly become my go to Horrors record. It feels like the last book in a trilogy that began with Skying, followed by Luminous and finally concluding with V. Superb!
