I actually got scared for a minute. There's a huge desert windstorm going on outside tonight while I listened. There were so many bumps and crazy grinding noises coinciding with the story. 😂 Absolutely perfect. I haven't been scared by a creature since Jaws... Perfect narration makes this possible. Thank you. Now I can't sleep. 😂😂❤

Couldn't agree more, absolute perfection.
I think it's so wild that when, even as a ghost writer, lovecraft manages not at all subtly to put his signature and aspects of his mythos all over these stories.
I love the end of this story. The foreigner's explanation at the end was spectacular with its innuendo.

Orabona is easily one of Lovecraft's/Heald's most amusing characters. And if what Rogers said is true, he may have destroyed one of the key components for Cthulhu's return.

By Azathoth! Simply Fantastic
HorrorBabble is by far my favorite KZread channel. Thank you so much for the work you do and providing access to these great authors.
The narration adds a realism and sense of cosmic horror to the stories
Of all the audio versions of this I keep coming back to this one. It's my favorite Lovecraft story but because of being ghost written I rarely see it, even in "Complete" editions. Lovecraft takes the very basic premise of "guy is dared to stay in a wax museum overnight" and creates a genuinely unsettling story of nameless horror nestled neatly within his own mythos.

I thank you for your recording. HP Lovecraft is one of the reasons of why I keep learning english.
One I've never heard! Thanks again goodnight everyone
Since I've been to a wax museum before, this was a really terrifying tale. Thanks once again.
Your American accent is immensely entertaining. "God- great God!"
this whas my first lovecraft story i evver heard , stil AMAZING
The first Lovecraft story I ever read.
Wonderful story, and i especially enjoyed the “voice” of Rogers!😍
I like these collaborations of Lovecraft with Hazel Heald. I think that working with her toned down some of his stylistic tics. I had no idea she had a hand in “Out of the Aeons”.
This was so much fun
I’ve grown to adore your channel over the course of this weekend. Your narrations have helped make my solo shift much more bearable, so thank you 🖤🖤
I love your Dulcet tones. Like silk on my ears my man. Thank you so much for the passion and effort you put into these works. You've really helped bring Lovecrafts worlds to life in my mind.
Another in a long line of continued excellence.Well done.Thank you.
Very excited for this one. Thank you very much!!
The voice of the narrator feels like the exact way Lovecraft would speak very sophisticated and educated.

It really helps when there's some unnerving music in the background. Not that Ians voice isn't suitable by himself for the role he plays in Horror stories.

@@maximesaindon3552 right, it would lighten that whole rase issue too that ppl make out about lovecraft. I mean he has two white educated guys come out as crazy or ignorant. Bona is smart, classy, brave, and best of all for these stories foreboding. He should be played by Lance Reddick.

@Pornhub XHamster I mean not as a massive block buster type hit, but as a small lowbudget movie, it could be possible, you need 3 scenes, a "museum" (just a gallery space), a weird hole (easy to set up) and a street to run away. I think the most expensive thing would be to set up all the pieces of art necessary to give the museum its feel. "the color out of space" was reimagine and I'll be honest, it's a pretty great movie

@Vampiric Academia 1 I’m pretty far left, and I’m a massive Lovecraft fan. The guy’s profound racism doesn’t diminish his contributions to the artistic medium. Also, he was taking a strong interest in socialism and easing up on the weird reactionary bullshit shortly before his untimely death. I know tons of left wingers who are Lovecraft fans. Hbomberguy did an excellent video on it.

@@joeyst-pierre6139 Never really got why people liked that film. It just seemed like typical crazy nic cage lol. The monsters were nice but it didn’t have the same scare that the book had at the end

So....not quite sure times I yelled at Jones to GET OUT!! Sometimes badthings happen for a reason. Somehow, I feel Jones deserves everything that happens to him.....which is very Lovecraft.
I have all but stopped listening to any other narrators since I have found this channel, and if you could do more scary sea stories would escalate my dedication for this channel to no end. Also if you ever decide to just tell a good classic story I believe your channel could only compliment the classic "GREAT EXPECTATIONS", one of my childhood favorites. Hint hint 😉

:o Horrorbabblers. Shocking. I prefer Horrorbabblians. ;)
Years back I thought I'd read everything of Lovecraft's, not realizing how much he ghost-wrote. Some of his best stuff was in other peoples' names.
Engaging engagement algorithm algorithm. Commenting is tipping your tuber 🏴☠️
I would never return to mister Rogers neighborhood ever again
It's become my regular ritual to fall asleep to Lovecraft read by Ian I'm now working on a horror comedy story about a small redneck town in Louisiana where people take refuge in a S-Mart when a hurricane brings in an invasion of aquatic Dagon creatures (I felt zombies were too played out) the hero is a geek who grew up reading Lovecraft and watching horror movies. Imagine all the white trash (sorry) type of people notorious of being in a Walmart living in thee store trying to survive.
