These ones are always the most unsettling, because you're not being actively chased or anything. It's got the setting of a normal house, but there's someone who's got it out for you because you're diving into things you shouldn't.

That's exactly why I like this game. The free roam of the second one IS very nice because then you have the added effect of being scared turning every corner BUT I think being alone in your house and having little to no defense makes it feel like your completely trapped which to me adds a lot to the game. Though there are major improvements in the second one too (minus the Mary Sue adam)

I mean, i think this one is bit scarier than Welcome To The Game 2. In this game, you basically have to rely on your hearing skill and a visual one too(Tracking). In WTTG 2 Normal mode, you basically have sensors and if you’re careful, there really aren’t much threats that can stop you.

The first game is pretty simple, yet just as unsettling.

True lmao, i don't feel scared about ghost hunting games because it's too usual and the reason why its so scary because it happens all the time, and its humans who causing the danger.

And just now, 5 years (?) after hearing from the game, I realize that Red Room not just means because it's blood. But also because of Redrum (murder backwards).

Maan, the first game was a absolute banger, I really loved how the dev polished this game and added a bunch of new endings in it, kinda sad that he didnt do the same in the 2nd game, where your choices would make you play a different character in the story, especially with how flexible 2nd game was with you walking around the building and stuff, but still both games are awesome

@Nether The Nub Yeah, the first isn't inherently unjoyable it's just not replayable. It's one of those games where if you get far enough and die you don't want to go back and keep trying at it again - where as with the second one, there's definitely a drive to keep pushing to actually beat the game. The second one is just a much more complete and fluid version of the first one.

The fact that Insym is bamboozled makes me automatic scared. I can’t handle Insym not knowing the pattern 😭. Anxiety level highhhhh 👻🙋🏼‍♀️ But still curious enough to continue watching haha. 💁🏼‍♀️

Now it all makes sense why Adam is the big reveal in the second game. He made the games in-game for others to watch people fear for their lives, and here he is, watching Insym fear the unknown with the real game he made.

I love that you're doing all these games again! I wasn't around here at the time when you were speedrunning wttg and wttg2, so I'm glad we do get to experience it anyway!

This game with multiple endings makes me wish that if you complete the Dollmaker quest in WTTG 2 then the Dollmaker would hire Lucas to kill the entire gang along with Adam during the final cutscene, then the Breather who was also hired by him would show up to kill Lucas, then the Dollmaker would show up to kill the Breather and rescue he protagonist.

I know it's been a while and maybe you never noticed because you were speedrunning, but you actually have to peek at Breather usually in the end game to speed it up. You stop the first pick, then you peek at him and he shouts "I SEE YOU IN THERE!" and you have to spam left-click to stop him from busting the door down a few times. It's way shorter so it gives time to watch for Lucas. For the gatekeeper, I didn't mind it too much. I just kept failing questions to both find answers and practice defending hacks until I memorized all but the gun price questions. I still don't remember those. I get where Adam was going with it but I agree with you about it being one of those annoying irrelevant tests that can just be obnoxious. I 100% agree with you on the arrow hack and I was so glad to hear you had issues with it too. It's so brutal. *Also, fun fact:* This is like the 2nd game where the first couple keys don't trigger Lucas--and Gatekeeper key doesn't count as one of the two. (I think there may be a site that triggers him to show up early though like Doll Maker or Handbook's homepage.) I ended up just getting the 8th key first, then searching the 3rd wiki until I found two keys. That way, I might not even have to paste the 3rd wiki link again (especially if I'm lucky enough to get 7th and just get the missing one next).
