When my mother dead on December 19, 2019, and this program of André Rieu was shown on Finnish television at Christmas 2019, this song opened up to me in a new way. Since then, I´ve seen the lyrics of the song like a movie. My mother was a christian, so I see her singing in a New Jerusalem. I noticed that my mother missed there. She wrote beautiful poems about Heaven and Jesus.This song has given me a lot of comfort.

When I die, those who love me should sing this beautiful hymn as I go to my maker

Our uncle Hart sang this at "Radio City" New York. circa 1950-60. He sang it at our wedding, on May 22/65 all these years ago. The Holy City has been an anchor throughout all our married life.

Thanks for making me cry at 7 in the morning, Christmas Eve, 2023😂😂😂. This was so beautiful. God is great!

Since at kindergarden already heard this hymn.. Now almost age 75 still heard this song. Thanks God

I heard this hymn first as a 10-year-old child in Martinville, Arkansas at Bible School. I'm 73 years old now. Beautiful. Brings years to my eyes still.

Whenever I want to ponder on my Christian life I listen to this song of Redemption Deliverance Healing Miracle and Salvation. Jerusalem

To any believer in Jesus Christ, we all look forward to that new Jerusalem according to this timeless and wonderful hymn.

First we will sing in the old ( present) Jerusalem for 1000 years then after in the New Jerusalem we will sing a new song for eternity. The gold city of beauty beyond compare where there is only righteousness. A place that is full of unspeakable joy and peace. A place where God finally gets the glory and praise due his name.

I was absolutely horrified to read that mr rieu has cancelled. His public schedule due to serious health issues May the holy angels surround him and heal him. Praise god for all the happiness he has given to us

May I recommend googling Henry Burr / the holycity on Columbia record recorded 1900-'03. He sings it beautifully, was trained as a church singer but also became the prime interpreter of Irving Berlin songs in the 19s through the 1920s. Enjoy. Great feeling throughout. 🐸

This hymn of the church is so glorious! Hosannah in the Highest indeed!

We will be singing that song during our rapture as we cone into that holy city in heaven!

We had this hymn sang a cappella at my dad's funeral as it was one of his favorites. Very moving, gets me every time!

What a soaring, noble, majestic hymn, and the glorious final notes that only the most talented singers can climb

I got to sing it in Seagoville Texas with first Baptist Church choir when I was 24. I'm 72 now. Later in life when I visited Jerusalem the song came to life even more. I can only imagine what the new Jerusalem will be like!

There are literally tens of thousands of us that have been a part of that particular piece in a chorale somewhere. The people in the audience were almost all participating in this song. I would LOVE to see a microphone for every person singing in the audience to see just how dramatic a sound that this would truly make some day. I believe it would make your hair truly stand straight up it would be so amazing.

My mom taught me this song when I was a little girl. I'm 62.

I am76 after hearing Sissel sing My Tribute. I heard an angel singing and have been praising God since. Should be done building a micro radio station and do Gospel music. Great hearing the music in English and Spanish. I signed up for the KZread music membership and I am in hog heaven on the music I have access to.

I remembered this hymn and it stuck in my mind ever since the late 50s . However, i never come across it again until now, 2020 and I am so very glad that what i recall hearing this ' Jerusalem, Jerusalem ' thing was really in existence. Just wonder why my church here in Singapore never had it sung after all these years or maybe I must have missed it in some point in time. God Bless!
