It was only during mid December parents started rushing to get the popular toys. When Tickle Me Elmo was out, they had a lot of them in stores. I ended buying two, one for my nephew and one for my niece when they were around 2 years old. When mid December came around, the adults were frantic, even fighting over the dolls

I remember when my niece and nephew were both 3 years old. And Tickle Me Elmo came out. I immediately went to Toys R Us to try and find them. Went to the 5th Toys R Us, and they had them 😮

I got what I wanted for Christmas that I prayed for years over- A Christmas Day I could spend with a loving family. It brought me so much joy.

When I was little my parents literally went to 4 different cities to find me a tickle me elmo for Xmas when I was a toddler, it was Christmas season so they were extremely hard to find around that time. :')

As a pre-school teacher in the mid-80s, I had to have one of those Teddy Ruxpins. I still have him along w/ Grubby, various outfits, books and cassettes, and accessories like the Answer Box and the Picture Show machine.

My grandma has 2 rare beanie babies

My mom when she was a kid wanted a cabbage patch doll and her older sister (my aunt) looked everyone for one and searched every single store just to find her one. She ended up finding one for her tho.

For me growing up (2002 baby here) i got alot of Barbies, Coloring books, the Barbie DVDs, but the main gift i wanted when i was a kid was the Disney Princess Kitchen Set that looked like a castle, and like the spoiled brat i was, i ended up getting it, i was the happiest person ever

I remember my teacher calling stores during our class time to see if they had the must have store for that year😂

Who else kinda wishes it was like it used to be when people would fight and wait in line for hours or days on Black Friday and Christmas to buy stuff? THE NOSTALGIA
