Man this trailer is awesome! The only thing that would make this better was if a narrator was talking over the entire trailer.

Yeah, and imagine if he was describing what we were already seeing anyways. Would have been so -useless- cool.

And rustling and talking from staff and students when necessary. Maybe when the sorting hat is put on it goes "lets see here" the cuts to something else and raising climax a bit.

I in fact agree, this is much better than something with simple narration.

I agree that narration can be annoying. But without it for this trailer it becomes quite bare bones without. Sound effects would have made a huge difference.

That also has to do with how the original trailer accounted for a narrator with its music. There's definitely room for something else, either sound effects like you said, or even voice acting from the game's characters to create dramatic effect

Yeah but he made this in two hours. Try adding in sound effects and voices in two hours of cut audio. You can't do it with a team of one person. So imagine what the trailer team could have done, sans narrator.

Like you said, there are a few awkward pauses that could be solved by some game audio but otherwise this is MUCH better than the original trailer.

I hadn't noticed how good the music in the trailer was before

This makes me want to actually play the game

Narrative trailers are basically like watching a movie with someone, who can't stop commenting about what's happening on the screen. Really hope that more trailers, especially those with a big budget, will take more to this kind of show, don't tell.

ngl this is better than the original lol. He sounded like he was talking in between being dunked underwater(music). With sound effects this would 100% no questions asked be better than the og.

All it needed was in-game sound. The crunching of the moving stones, the pzass of the wands, the fire of the dragon, would have been head and shoulders above the original trailer.

I actually really enjoyed the lack of the main big bad, it leaves a bit of new story for those experiencing the game for the first time.

Should not have removed narrator in the begging. Without it it doesn't have an impact before screen cutting to black. Other than that, yeah, trailer is more hype without narrator.

As someone who's never played the game, I love how this trailer says absolutely NOTHING about the actual gameplay. It could be a 3D platformer like the old PS1 Harry Potter games. It could be like Dark Souls. It could be a walking simulator. It could be survival horror, even, like Resident Evil. It could be a puzzle game. It could be an RPG.

never realised the narrator was this detrimental to the trailer until now wow.

Still hate "using the main theme song with extremely loud drums", even the super mario bros movie did this, it sounds horrible.

This is cool, but almost too intense. This implies a nail biting, action packed rpg through and through. The narration is annoying but the overal trailer with it feels more honest to the actual game's tone

narration was awful, i like this much better. if they added in soft sound effects for the action that was on screen to add to the music which takes the lead... they would have been better off.
