I feel so sad for the sons of William Patrick who felt they needed to make the oath that they did. I am glad that they at least have each other. Their grandfather, William Patrick's father Alois was a shameful man who never took responsibility for his first wife and son, abandoning them and leaving the single mother to struggle to raise her son alone. Alois died bitter for the loss of his son Heinz and the loss of the restaurant which he stole from a former Jewish owner. He deserves even less than he ended up with. It was heartening to see Michael, the Hitler who made his life in Israel. He neither hides nor takes on the burden of the Hitlers relatives whose choices he had nothing to do with.

L'orthographe des noms n'était pas une science exacte à une époque où assez peu de gens savaient bien écrire, voire lire. Il n'y avait pas de état civil dans le sens moderne du terme. Quand on avait besoin de papiers (laisser passer, certificat de baptême, extrait d'acte de naissance), le plus souvent sans photo, l'agent émetteur demandait comment ça s'écrivait, et en fonction du niveau d'études du requérant les résultat était différent : ainsi le nom de Hitler existait aussi sous les formes Hiedler, Hüttler, Hiller, etc. Au sein d'une même famille il pouvait exister plusieurs orthographes. On en trouve d'ailleurs en cherchant sur le web.

Je le prend nimporte quand se nom de famille

À partir du moment où il n’est plus question du véritable personnage historique, ce documentaire perd tout intérêt, sinon qu’il illustre la curiosité malsaine d’un journaliste qui utilise mal son talent. J’ai dormi une bonne partie de la seconde partie et je ne retournerai pas en arrière pour voir ce que j’ai pu manquer.

Hitler n est pas l homme le plus hai de l histoire. C est landolf de capoue.
