I got chills at least four times in this video. Best band on the planet. We gladly travel hundreds of miles to see them multiple times per tour. Don't even care if the budget is tight! Ha. I loved that you ended with The Long Defeat and the crowd chanting. While that song has major sentimental feelings for me regarding my marriage, I also feel that it accurately describes the fans love for Thrice, and that we will always be there by Thrice's side, even when they go on hiatus for a couple of years and scare us half to death.

Drove like 2 hours to Petaluma CA to the Phoenix Theatre. And there I had a life changing experience with a band called Thrice. Hot Water Music opened. Then Thrice and then Coheed. It’s been pretty amazing to see Thrice grow and change through all these years. And yet every time I play Identity Crisis it’s like love at first sight all over! One of the bands I can list all their song names on the top of my head because they don't create any filler and I listen to the album all the way through. From A Great Height In fact i know them thanks to Lullaby, but i listen the band thanks to Black Honey, i know many of the songs except from the ones of Major/Minor
@Fromagreatheight
6 жыл бұрын
Lullaby is a good b-side. Ironically their b-sides are just as amazing as their normal songs but they're usually left out because they didn't fit the album's feel or theme. As for Major Minor, that's the last album prior to the new one, before the hiatus. It's really good. A lot of people say it sounds like older grunge. If you like Black Honey, Major/Minor is definitely a must listen. As for the sound, the band started out with punk/hardcore their first 3 albums, then on Vheissu was an honest attempt to expand their musical capabilities and to experiment with sounds they can produce, usually regarded as one of their best albums. The Alchemy Index took it another step forward by making a template to producing 4 different sounding mini discs, each sonically representing the elements Fire, Water, Air, Earth. It really showcases their musical capabilities and is definitely my favorite. Beggars focused more on writing rock songs again, sounding kinda indie rock/blues, and Major Minor was a more intense version. To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere is regarded to be a mix of all their sounds.

Takes back to all the great times in high school! Such amazing musicians, lyricists, and vocals!
You gotta make a new version including “Palms” and celebrating 20 years as a band!

I think you'd be happy to know that I'm in my early 20s just getting into Thrice. The Artist in the Ambulance has become one of my favorite albums already
the feels man, this is amazing, thank you for share it!
Great video to watch the growth of Thrice. It's amazing to see the changes in tone, writing, and emotions with each album. I love Thrice!
Technique. Tone. Rhythm riffs. Melody. Fills. Harmonics. Lyrics. Dynamics. Storytelling. Come on boys, leave some for the rest of us.
Holy shit, what a video. Thank you so much for this! Best band ever, period :)
OMG! What a beautiful and perfect video, this guys are so talented. Thrice is definitely the best band ever.
wow this was great! Thank you for this. My high school years up until now...this band has grown up and matured as I have
Wow this is really good. Well done. I had no idea this Band had such an evolved sound. That is probably why I listen to them now. Thank you for this.
They still kill it. Last night in denver was one if the best shows I have ever seen by them!
seriously this made me want to cry haha I grew up through all these stage thank you!!!
Awesome video man thanks for making this... All-time favorite band
Thanks for making this!
I think their post-hiatus period, since 2015, is my favorite incarnation. Feels like all their personalities have come together on the last 3 albums & the punk anger is back
one of the very few if not the only band i know of, that get better and better regardless of the genre. As I get older and adjust and refine my taste, they are joining me on my journey and always deliver high quality stuff that still gives me goose pumps. very talented muscians, cant wait for the next record and hopefully many more to come, and curious to see in how they will further progress musically
Wow great job. This was a sweet anthology to watch. Top notch
Thank you for this ! Made my day!
Goddamn this makes me itch baaaaadddd to see a Thrice show! Excellent job, sir!!!☆☆☆
One of my favorite band evolutions. I love how they managed to switch it up every record while keeping core elements of their sound

My feels got the feels watching this. it's crazy to think I've been on this ride for 15+ years and the content has only gotten better. As mentioned by any other poster, I feel as though I'm not living enough after watching this.
This group shows how is make one perfect evolution. I love the songs from the album "To be everywhere, is to be nowhere", pricipaly "Hurricane" and "Black Honey" I send my appreciate to everyone.
What a journey. I feel like I'm not living enough after watching this.
The most under rated band in history.
Vheissu the first album that i hear and my way to know about this amazing band
this video took me back in time... awesome band.
What an amazing band to have journeyed with for so many years . . . Glad I jumped on the ship in 2003!
Now someone has to make a new one including Palms because that record is also AMAZING. Awesome video though! Made me remember my younger days of being excited when i found out that albums like Artist in the Ambulance were BARELY coming out. Amazing/one of a kind band 👌
I haven't always liked the changes but this is a band of true artists. always evolving and loving their craft.
My favorite band. Great tribute.
Gonna have to update this soon - epic
Thanks so much for this...........

Insane how they went from Identity Crisis to Artist In The Ambulance in just 2 years
What an evolution ☺️ and I love every album ☺️

The shrine
What I love about this band is for a band that made dramatic turn in their genres, the progression was very natural. They always had a way of pushing the boundaries of music and going against the grain band, which is why I still consider them a punk band.
Waiting the 2nd part 😌
New song this is my hype for the next album
Bought Artist In the Ambulance on a whim and never looked back.
I need a list of the songs STAT
You know what song is coming when Riley holds his drum sticks up and you hear, "click, click, click, click."
There sooo fucking under rated... definitely in my top ten favorite bands of all time

One of the bands I can list all their song names on the top of my head because they don't create any filler and I listen to the album all the way through. I highly suggest checking the albums out, especially if you got to know them by Black Honey. Really great stuff. The Alchemy Index is the craziest album(s). and my favorite of theirs.

From A Great Height In fact i know them thanks to Lullaby, but i listen the band thanks to Black Honey, i know many of the songs except from the ones of Major/Minor

🔥
i just discovered this band like... 3 days ago now, and Dustin's voice in the latest album, sounds like Dave Grohl (coming from a HUGE Foo Fighters fan btw)

You will come to find there are two people. Ones whose favorite band is Thrice, and ones who have never heard Thrice. There's no in between. All their fans they are their favorite band. There's no one at a Thrice show where they're just one of the bands they listen to sometimes.

@@thirdmonkeyent_llc100% this, been my favorite band since the first day I herd one of their songs back in 2002, Im forever attached to their sound.
Banda boa demais!
Lotsa bangin
Make one up to now
Lol why does Dustin look so thick in the thumbnail?
❤👊
He's written A LOT of good music.
All I could think of was how much I disliked them with each subsequent album release. I know their old shit was messy and screamy but that's why I love them. Yet as I was typing this I heard a song on Alchemy Index that sounded reminiscent of their older stuff. Long message short, they were a HUGE part of my high school life.
Alchemy Index, leaving it there
Thrice evoluiton is really cool....Would be nice if other bands could mature the same way, not in a shitty way like Silverchair.... :(
The thumbnail photo of Dustin is warped he looks chunky lol
Ahem, new album 2018.
riley with the long hair omg lol.
