As a Native American/ indigenous woman I can say y’all celebration into womanhood is a whole lot better than ours. When I was 13 I got sent out into the woods for 3 days and had to survive on my own then after that I became a woman. Lmao y’all actually get a party.

That's like the 'Sweet Sixteen' celebrations that the non-Latino have for their daughters...but maybe a little more ornate. 😊 Nice way of making a young girl feel special!

This needs more research and background. As a College Dance Professor you have not shared any true knowledge on how this dance relates to indigenous people in the Latin America. The Quinceanera is an idea that was somehow reimagined following colonization. It is important to share the history of the dance as it is a tradition that Latin America adopted from their conquerors.

Quincenarx. Let’s be gender neutral, even though the Spanish language isn’t. The Karens have spoken. Latinx. They have plans for your whole culture and language.

@@donnawentz2221 And who can blame them? They’re Latinos & Latinas. Latinx doesn’t really exist in any language other than Karen-speak. No, Karen, it’s not up to you.
