WhenI grew up in the West Bronx, I barely knew anything about the East Bronx. I just knew about Co-op City in the northeast corner of the borough.
Great background info. I feel like the Bronx is the forgotten borough. Most people that I meet think it's all a big ghetto but that's not true. Of course there are ghettos in the Bx just like there are anywhere else in the U.S. but it's very expensive to live in most parts of the Bronx as you can get anywhere, whether it be NJ, Connecticut, upstate NY, Queens, Manhattan and Long Island, very quickly from here is the main reason living costs in the Bronx are so high. As someone born and raised and still living in the Bronx the borough gets a bad rap. I appreciate you taking the time out to talk about it!

The ease of getting places from the Bronx (compared to Brooklyn and Queens) is probably the biggest thing that could cause it to be gentrified.

really the desireable is that all neighboorhoods are beautiful, affordable and with good services , shops and so on, this probably would solve the violence,crime and other problem, when people live in a suitable environment is less resentid and violent, the powerty and disequality is the origin from all these problems, I think
