Many dances have been made from the slave period and I find that very interesting and fascinating that dance united many on such a hard period.

Tap dance has more of it's roots in Irish Hard Shoe dance --Sean Nos dancing and was spread in NYC/Philly/Boston/New Orleans etc in 1700/1800s with African and Irish living in the same communities.

Not true, I'm sorry, but Europeans had absolutely nothing to do with tap dancing. You're not going to cultural appropriate this musical identity and art form from black people, you've already taken rock and roll blues and Lindy Hop dances and appropriated the living hell out of those things. But you're not going to do that to this one buddy, Irish folklore dancing and black American tap dancing are two different things.
